Former Vice President Joe Biden admitted that the Second Amendment exists but stressed during his speech in New Hampshire on Tuesday that it does not say everyone is entitled to own a gun.
Biden, who was taking questions at a small outdoor venue, then added, By the way, if one of you left the keys in your car down the street, and a kid comes along and jumps in it and takes off, you could be held liable civilly for that. So if you own a gun, put a damn trigger lock on it. Put it in a case. You have an obligation.

Good idea, especially if they throw out the environmental activism classes.
better yet, ALSO throw out the perverted sex ed classes
Mr. V< No “entitled” is not the correct term. Entitled in common language in America means one has been granted something by a law or an act of law, like “one is entitled to social security when they reach the age of... and have paid in at least 40 quarters of earnings...”
If One is “entitled” to arms/guns, then the government must have enacted some law or measure to authorize the express provision of that “entitlement”- this is done via taxation of course. The government doesn’t actually make anything, you know.
Concerning arms, rather one ought to look into the founding documents of this nation. The Declaration of Independence clearly declares people/a person has the “right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. Note that it clearly does not say anything about the government providing for any of it via some act or government provision. The constitution as well mentions this concept in a general way- “to provide for the general welfare”, of course, it does not mean “welfare” as we commonly know it, but rather well being or safety etc.
Okay, to the question of whether or not we ought to keep our arms in such a manner as to reduce/eliminate unintended consequences. Well, of course. Anyone who possesses arms ( one can insert most any object here), they also have a responsibility to avoid an inherent or consequential danger of that item- it goes w/o saying ( or at least it ought to).
Must we secure our dangerous things in a government mandated manner and method? No, I think not, but we must take care due the nature of the risk and mitigate it not only for the idiot who breaks in to rob or steal, but also to protect our innocents.
How do I do this? Well, no arm is accessible w/o permission and controlled access-via a safe, locking hard case or yes, even the ominous trigger lock ( well, okay, I got rid of those things) any weapon elsewise is on my person or under my direct or authorized control.
Gee too simple.
I would like to get on the mailing list when arms become an “entitlement”, so I can put my requests in early to beat the rush... I hve my eye on a custom 300 H&H and few other choice items...(sarcasm of course).
Sadly, only the blind can no longer see there we are on a toboggan run to civil war.
Get in shape get to the range prepare your food Make a plan
It is coming as sure as the sun rises in the east and sets in the west.
Psst. Hey Joe. SHALL. NOT. BE. INFRINGED.
Keep talking, Joe
Trump’s 2020 Twitter feed is gonna be pure comedy gold!
Because I don’t want to have to believe that someone is that blindingly stupid.

Looking at budgets, I think maybe the military doesn’t get the best price.
Hey, Joe? If it’s in a case and has a trigger lock and my family is in danger, how the heck am I gonna quickly fire off a few shots from the balcony?
What a doofus. And he’s all the Dems really have! I love it!
Thank you again. I hope someone pushes this issue. If people have a problem with weapon ownership, they should change the Constitution.
Back in the day, every able man had to be in the militia. The town would provide a gun and supplies to the rare man that was too poor to own one.
I don’t know if I would call that “entitled” though. It was for the town’s own good.
They shouldn’t be banned. Most of the cannon and ships used in the Revolutionary War were private (privateers).
A very well done Site. At the rate the tribal yutes in Charlotte are going they should make one for there. It's like Charlotte yutes are feeling left out.
Seeing as you are a 'hair sniffer' does that also make you a 'tiffy sniffer'?
(NOTE..appears the name has been somewhat 'changed' but Tiffy Sniffer in my day was the guy who would run up and sniff the seat of a bicycle that a SYT had just vacated)
BTW Joe, if taking away my gun will stop shootings etc will cutting off YOUR 'man parts' cut down on rapes & sexual assaults? Appears the reasoning is along the same line.
Too bad Biden will not be the candidate.
Well then there was that little thing about Flag Burning = Speech instead of flag burning = incitement to riot.
Some legit gun owners don’t either. Over 300 were stolen and crimes committed with them, out of locked vesicles in Memphis last year. If you must go somewhere you are not allowed to carry, leave your carry piece at home in your gun safe.
Even the DUMB FBI have left their weapons in their cars at motels to be stolen. These were NOT your everyday carry pieces either. If your computers were that important to go into the motel room, then so was every weapon you were toting. You are the FBI and can do what ordinary citizens can’t.
