A security guard at a Walgreens on FM 1960 opened fire on two armed, masked teens who were preparing to enter the store, critically wounding one of the suspects. He later died at the hospital. The double shooting happened around midnight on Saturday night at the Walgreens at FM 1960 and Ella Boulevard in northeast Harris County, just west of Interstate 45. Lt. L.R. Rush of the Harris County Sheriff's Office told Metro Video that two cousins, ages 18 and 16, approached the store in what authorities believe was a planned robbery.
They did not see the security guard, who came from around the corner and approached the pair. He told them to stop, at which time one of the armed men pulled a gun from his waist band and pointed it at the guard. The guard pulled his gun and opened fire on both suspects. The security guard "engaged them at this point and verbally ordered them to put their guns down," Rush said. "The one with the gun pointed at him and he let fly. He took both of them down." The suspect who allegedly pulled his gun, 16, was shot multiple times and transported to the hospital in critical condition. Sheriff Ed Gonzales later tweeted that he had been "confirmed deceased" at the hospital. The second suspect, 18,was shot in the calf and tried to run away. Rush, who happened to be in the vicinity, responded to the scene and apprehended the second suspect.

#31. Don’t worry about the guard “asking himself for the rest of his life if there was anything else he could have done (besides his job and taking out the second shooter).
Praise the guard for doing his job, WELL, professionally, and successfully. A few more like him and crime will drop significantly in certain areas.
Him wuz a good boy, trying turn his life ‘rown. Racist MoFo doanspoda shoot my baby... How much money can I git?
Okay...you know what is weird. Wife went to Wally World today here in Butte County and wanted to purchase Ibprofen. It was behind locked glass case! Evidently there are folks that reaaaalllly have bery bad headaches and have been stealing the ibprofen? Really? Besides making one piss blood if you take too much, what are they doing with it?
At Raley’s Supermarket half the shopping carts are gone...The homeless have taken them during daylight hours and cart them off down toward the Feather River. Heck they even use them as makeshift barbeque grills. Resourceful little buggers.
We didn’t have this homeless problem until Chico ran them out of town and marijuana began being heavily grown in the area. Lots of waste-abouts hanging around town begging and a thievin....
Shootings used to very rare here in the county. Maybe a murder once every two or three years. Now is a weekly occurence.
My plan: Take all the bums and bumettes and ship them off to tent city out in the middle of the Mojave. Those that can be saved...save. Those that can’t be saved. Let em just hand around eatin and shittin on themselves....no booze or drugs and no need for fences...its out in the middle of the Mojave, 50 miles from anywhere.
Felony murder rule is a bitch.

If Walgreens fires him, Walgreens will not get another dollar of my business.
They were turning their lives around and the dead one wanted to become a doctor...
The Walmart checker is looking for non-bagged items that may have been “added” after paying.
It is against the law to have the greeters check receipts but the ignorant public continues to let the greeters stop them and ask for a receipts. The greeters here have asked me for receipts but I simply tell them, “NO!” They simply shut up and let me pass.
In my experience, Walmart checks your receipt when you have any items that arent bagged. I get stopped every time I have large/heavy items not in bags and never when all my items are bagged. They arent profiling, just looking at the cart.
They just hassle people who are easily guilt tripped or already worked over to comply. The ostensible reason is (mostly) to check for collusion with checkout clerks. My view, if they have a problem with their employees, that, is exactly that, their problem. Once I have a receipt, it’s my stuff. No, you can’t look. Leave me alone or I’ll be the one calling the cops.
First I heard that checking receipts is against the law. You cannot leave a Costco in California with a cart unless the door checkers runs a check on your carts contents against the printed receipt.

When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.
Proverbs 21:15
‘”As far as I can tell, the security guard did an excellent job,” [police Lt.] Rush told Metro Video.’
See how long he keeps his job.
The protests will be about why the guard needed to kill a 16 year old. I doubt the locals in LaHood will be told he was wearing an Antifi mask.
Now, since the one perp died during the commission of this crime, will the other thug be charged with felony homicide?
Well, looks like I should not post til I read all of the replies!
At least it’s one down. The wounded one should be charged with the manslaughter of his compadre so he can get some extra time.
You don’t like taking someone’s job for 0 discount?
he will be asking himself for the rest of his life if there was anything else he could have done....Been there, done that Twice. Trust me, you look at people with a sorrowful face, keep your mouth shut and are filled with sunshine inside.
