Asia Bibi, a Christian woman who was held on death row for eight years in Pakistan, is a free woman.
Her lawyer, Saif-ul Malook said the mother of five is finally reunited with her daughters in Canada. Wilson Chowdhry of the British Pakistani Christian Association told The Associated Press that he received a text message from a British diplomat saying Asia "is out."
Officials at Pakistan's interior and foreign ministries also confirmed her departure from the country on condition of anonymity.
The US State Departments applauded her release and issued a statement rejecting Islamic blasphemy laws.

The refusal of so many Western nations to stand up for this brave Christian woman and grant her asylum is a disgrace.

Her case was brought up in the British Parliament today during "Prime Minister's Question Time".The question was put forth by a member of her own Party and she,as you might expect,had a weasel excuse to offer.
Churchill would never have offered such an answer...and neither would The Iron Lady.
Our current PM is the most pathetic and useless in all of our history. At least Chamberlain had the patriotism and decency to step aside when he realised his continuing to cling on to power was harmful to the country, she is desperate to cling on at all costs because of her selfish obsession with wanting to end her premiership on a higher note than being known as the PM who failed to deliver Brexit.

I recently saw a 10 minute speech that Michael Gove gave in Parliament and was quite impressed.I guess I shouldn't be surprised to hear convincing speeches from British MPs...after all,it *is* your language! :-)

I’ve come to be fed up of listening to the voices of privilage and Oxbridge education in the House of Parliament. Tommy Robinson is right, we don’t have ordinary people from ordinary working class backgrounds in Parliament and these types view ordinary folks with contempt, even Jacob Rees Mogg although he is one of the better ones despite the fact he is a toff. As for Michael Gove, he is obviously smart and articulate, but he is also a backstabbing weasel who stabbed Boris Johnson in the back in the Tory leadership contest which saw May elected to succeed Cameron. I can’t be bothered supporting someone like that who is willing to engage in treachery to achieve personal ambition.
