A few months ago, in a cascade of disgraces both Gov. Ralph Northam and Attorney General Mark Herring admitted to wearing blackface, then Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax was accused of sexual assault by two women.
Now the story has seemingly disappeared from the front pages, or any pages, of the local news outlets.

University of Virginia political analyst Kyle Kondik says Northam remains in office for a number of reasons.
“For one thing, Fairfax is even more toxic than he is, and the accusations against the lieutenant governor help insulate the governor. But I also think the governor surveyed the political climate and determined that he was better off staying in office than resigning. Northam did, in fact, face a lot of pressure to resign, but he weathered it and decided not to step aside in spite of it,” he explained.

His lib base here in Northern Virginia and the media have decided that the limp VA GOP won’t do anything.
And they’re right.
Republican campaign ads. If any republican up for reelection hires an antiTrumper to run their campaign, they might as well flush their money.

Which is why the Republicans need to keep pounding on them to force them to constantly defend Coonman.

The problem with Virginia is that a huge percentage of the population receive some sort of Government check.It's well known that those who get Government checks tend to love Rats and vote for them.
Because the Dems know the Virginia GOP is owned and operated by Democrats, and thus there is no threat to lose any offices or seats as a consequence of scandal.
Virginia has been overwhelmed by immigration, and flipped politically.
Its all about keeping power no matter what.
“Coon Man” is golden. He supports infanticide, that’s all that matters to liberals.
Our two tier justice system at its finest: If a Democrat commits a no no, make them apologize and then move on. If a Republican does the same, prosecute them into oblivion. The Lame Street Media will help enforce this.

Along with everything else the article says & what FReepers have mentioned in comments so far, Gov. Coonman has also been butt-kissing & shoe-polishing a certain constituency until his lips and fingers are darker than white. The Coonman Coward has also been keeping his head down and avoiding any venue where he might be questioned or protested.
Sounds like basically what “Sheets” Byrd did.

Virginia is now firmly under the leftist jackboot. A democrat could be caught with a dead girl or a live boy in his bed and, aside from the initial standard tut-tutting token posturing, he’d still remain firmly in power.
Speaking of “sheets” ..... the question of whether Coonman was in blackface or the ‘sheets’ has never been answered with certainty, as far as I know - such an amazing lack of curiosity (sort of like the media with Russiagate - nothing to see here, move along). People ‘assume’ he was in blackface .... damaging, but less so than being in the KKK hood/sheets (IMO).
