SCOTUS To Rule On Whether Men Can Wear Women’s Clothes On The Job
The Federalist ^ | April 29, 2019 | Jeana Hallock

Posted on 04/29/2019 11:03:58 AM PDT by detective

If 'sex' in federal law is replaced with 'gender identity,' the government will be unable to ensure equal opportunities for women.

R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Homes has been serving grieving families in the Detroit area since 1910. But in recent years, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has targeted this small family-owned funeral home for punishment due to their refusal to participate in an employee’s so-called gender identity preferences.

Why? To achieve its political objective: replacing “sex” in Title VII, a federal law, with “gender identity.” This means bypassing Congress to completely change the meaning of federal laws intended to advance women by including men who say they are women in the same legal categories.

If Harris Funeral Homes loses, it could be forced to pay a price few small businesses can survive—hundreds of thousands of dollars. Worse yet, women could be forced to sacrifice something priceless that they have struggled for decades to achieve: legal equality.

You’d have to take a cut in pay.

There’s a guy at my office. I think he’s a guy. I’m not there often and have never met him.

He, if he’s a he wears weird clothes. They look to be cut for a male, but are just weird colors, shapes etc. Certainly not stuff procured at places we normals shop.

I long for the days when we knew.

If he pretended to be a poor black anti-American moslem from Kenya ( which is near Uganda, after all ) he could become president

So are they saying businesses can NO longer have a dress code? That will be the result if the funeral home loses. Any employee will be able to dictate what they want to wear are work
Private enterprises are no longer private when Govt dictates what they can and cannot do. This is what Fascism looks like.

In junior high, us boys figured out the difference in boy’s and girl’s button up shirts. So we sat on the left side of the room.

“If biological male identifies as a lesbian trans woman, does that mean they are attracted to women like a normal man?”

I’ve known (professionally) two men who “transitioned” to women in middle age. Both soon had non-trans lesbian girlfriends. So, yes, in this small sample the “men” were still attracted to biological women.

“So are they saying businesses can NO longer have a dress code? That will be the result if the funeral home loses.”

The EEOC targeted this small family-owned funeral home for punishment due to their refusal to participate in an employee’s so-called gender identity preferences.

The EEOC sued the business, claiming it had discriminated on the basis of sex and sought punitive damages.

No small business will ever again be safe from the EEOC if the funeral home loses.

Yep.

A victory for the “trans rights” crowd means that any business with at least 15 employees has to accept this crap. Got an independent bookstore with daily storytime for the kids? If a male employee decides to put on a dress and make it Drag Time Storytime, you will have to shut up and take it.

Insanity.

Can there be hope for the Republic when SCOTUS must rule on something like this?
