Do judges have to members of the bar? As members of the bar, does this meet the standards for disbarment?

Do judges have to members of the bar?

Here in Pennsylvania they do. Personally I find that Constitutionally dubious, and if I'm ever independently wealthy I may toss my hat into a judge's race to try and prove my point.
