Agree whole heartedly. A soldier never
relinquishes his weapon except at times of
surrender. The Mexicans should have been
the ones to give up their weapons. I’m
raising an eyebrow over this one.
So what half assed CNN is not saying is, is that Mexican troops came into US territory and disarmed US soldiers.
The one I almost posted, but deleted.
Great question... what the hell were they doing there...
See, long ago and far away, there was this US battleship, the USS Maine. And there was this big media mogul, William Randolph Hearst - newspaperman. The Maine blew up down in Cuba, Hearst ginned up a lot of news - next thing you know - like magic, The Spanish-American War.
I just looked at a map, like anyone can, and see the border is clearly the Rio Grande River. You have to cross the river to be “north of the border”.
Let this be the last of this. The fools knew what they were doing and they did it for provocation.
Next time shoot the bastards and NEVER let them take your gun.
"Armed Mexican troops question American soldiers on US side of border"
.
After a brief discussion between the soldiers from the two nations, the Mexican military members departed the area. The U.S. soldiers immediately contacted CBP, who responded quickly. Throughout the incident, the U.S. soldiers followed all established procedures and protocols, the statement said.
{The U.S. service members reported hearing someone from the south side yell Vamonos in Spanish.}
Absolutely, soldiers from a foreign nation encroaching into the United States.
I give our troops credit for staying cool in a potentially deadly situation.
Talking is much smarter than shooting, at least at first. If this sort of encounter takes place two or three times a week, then not just no but hell no. But professional soldiers talking with (we presume) other professionals is definitely the wise move. Oh, and we dont know the current Rules of Engagement so we shouldnt comment.
I am a little curious how the Mexicans got within talking range without our guys challenging them at a distance, but Ill let that slide for today.
“... Very angry....”
You are no alone, trust me.
We should have Humvees with miniguns mounted on them patrolling the border.
Wetback soldiers walk across our border, and threaten OUR people? Hose their asses down with 7.62.
I will gladly help with any declaration of war with Mexico.
Actually, I think 1/4 of Texans would be glad to take their guns and ammo down there to shoot our opponents.
This happens frequently. The Mexican military crosses to our side all the time. We have had these confrontations ongoing. Mexican helicopters invade our airspace also.
Don’t worry. Trump will tweet ‘em good.
I give it as my fixed opinion, that but for our graduated cadets, the war between the United States and Mexico might, and probably would have lasted some four or five years, with, in its first half, more defeats than victories falling to our share; whereas, in less than two campaigns, we conquered a great country and a peace without the loss of a single battle or skirmish.
Even better would be to build the wall, along every single inch of our southern border, including the mountains and the Rio Grande.
"Who won the World Series in 2016?"
Hearst was the father of yellow journalism, the manufacturing of hyperbolic, sensationaized news, or what we call today, CNN.
“Illustrator Frederic Remington, sent by Hearst to Cuba to cover the Cuban War of Independence, cabled Hearst to tell him all was quiet in Cuba. Hearst, in this canard, is said to have responded, “Please remain. You furnish the pictures and I’ll furnish the war.”
Democrats with their open border jingo bingo should not be allowed to allow to pervert the concept of sovereignty get twisted into being propagandized as White Nationalism. Use of that term is usually directed when the immigration issue is brought up to devalue of the protections an American citizen have by being one. When allowing the hordes illegally entering the US through the Mexican border avoid recognizing and dealing with the 2nd class treatment that American citizens get while legally residing in Mexico which not just includes denial of voting privileges but employment, and land ownership in their name. All of which when given to illegals and property ownership by them is used in states which Mexico has previously claimed.that could be used to support any reclaiming effort should regime changes in Mexico arise , Our border with Mexico has always been contentious, those barriers are a must .
So if the US is invaded by foreign troops are you suggesting our troops couldnt respond without a direct order??
