Sally Yates Justice Department had no legitimate reason to believe Michael Flynn was either compromised or susceptible to compromise, yet they carried on as if it were so.
In late January 2017, President Obamas deputy attorney general Sally Yates made a couple of urgent trips from the Department of Justice building to the White House, carrying information she believed to be critical to U.S. national security.
Yates was aware, likely through intercepts of Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyaks communications, that the newly seated national security advisor, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, had discussed with Kislyak Russias response to the Obama administration imposition of sanctions for Russias attempts to meddle in the 2016 elections. According to news reports, Flynn had asked Kislyak to wait a few weeks and allow the incoming Trump administration a chance to review the issue before Russia retaliated. Flynns conversations with Kislyak occurred on December 29, the day Obama announced the sanctions.

The FBI and Yates were similarly galvanized by the hook the Ignatius leak provided on January 12. Less than two weeks later, on January 24, FBI agent Peter Strzok and his partner were in Flynns office, questioning him on the Kislyak phone call. Yates made her first trip to the White House two days after that, on January 26.
Her message? Flynn had lied to Vice President Mike Pence about his conversations with Kislyak, and the vice president was erroneously telling reporters Flynn didnt discuss sanctions during those calls.
I’ll say it again:
Trump should have left the Inauguration Podium and fired EVERYBODY in the FedGov down 2 to 3 pay levels from the top.
This RESIST gamesmanship has cost us 2+ years of valuable time.
“Sally Yates Justice Department had no legitimate reason to believe Michael Flynn was either compromised or susceptible to compromise, yet they carried on as if it were so.”
Just part of the poisonous Obama hate America administration.
Oh by the way. In case you are wondering why Maduro remains in power if Venezuela, you might want to count the number of Obama appointees that remain in key positions in the CIA, NSA and the Pentagon. Trump’s policies are opposed and sabotaged.
This is why I don’t trust Pence. He was very quick to throw Flynn to the wolves.
For me, Flynn threw himself on his sword to protect Pence.
Flynn was a long-time intel officer. He of all people knew his conversations with Kislyak were monitored by both Russian and US intelligence. He knew nothing he said was private.
Sally Yates also pushed the stupid Logan Act as her pretext to inject herself on General Flynn.
She needs to see American Justice and I hope her name appears on the referrals from Cong. Devin Nunes.
“Yates was aware, likely through intercepts of Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyaks communications, that the newly seated national security advisor, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, had discussed with Kislyak Russias response to the Obama administration “
This LIE never ends. Pence perpetuated it doing his GOPe duty to torpedo Flynn.
Flynn did not DISCUSS sanctions. When Kislyak brought it up, Flynn said he could not discuss it and that would be a topic for another day. Yates and Pence spin saying “I cannot discuss that” as a discussion on the issue. Flynn honestly reported back that he had no discussions on the sanctions. Pence ran breathlessly to Meet the Press and said he was lied to.
Total BS and Yates was a criminal. But without a willing ear in Pence it would have gone nowhere. Women swoon over the nutroll because of the dining alone thing...but he is a damned NWO snake in the grass.
“The leak of Flynns conversation occurred two days after CNN...”
The conversation where when sactions came up, Flynn said “that is a topic for another day...”.
Pence stabbed Flynn (and Trump) in the back by claiming Flynn mislead him. He didn’t have the backbone to stand his ground and explain that saying you can’t discuss something is not “discussing” it.
Also... Obama was conducting illegal surveillance on the incoming Trump administration. This is pure Stasi/NKVD/Gestapo.

I don’t know if Pence is trustworthy. He seemed not to be in this case.
I think Flynn took the hit to protect President Trump. Flynn thought a verbal fight with Pence over who said what would hurt the President.
You don’t know what Yates claimed to Pence about what was said between Flynn and the Ambassador. I guarantee she exaggerated.
Flynn’s phone call to Kislyak was made from a foreign country (the Dominican Republic). That alone should have disqualified him from working in any national security post.
Trump should have left the Inauguration Podium and fired EVERYBODY in the FedGov down 2 to 3 pay levels from the top.

Thank you for saying it for me.
Exactly what I was thinking.
Why are we STILL paying minions of the Kenyanesian Usurper to block US from saving our country?
Just part of the poisonous Obama hate America administration.

The Constitution says natural born citizen.
Obama is not one.
The founders were right.
I always remember that Pence was part of the House leadership team of Boehner, Cantor, Ryan and McCarthy.
Bush League Republicans all.
It’s absolute insanity that for all of “swamp drain” rhetoric, President Trump left the swamp holdovers stay right where they were. It really has cost MAGA valuable time.
Pence is a follower.
We need another President pick after Trump because Pence really isn’t up to the task.
Doesn’t matter. Is he such an idiot that he would believe her and not demand proof? He’s a neocon NWO snake in the grass.
Exactly
I wholeheartedly agree with you. Who in the GOP is willing and able to withstand all that Trump has withstood to this point? The reason most GOP pols don't stand with Trump is that they are not real conservatives, and they are afraid that the Dems and the media would then come after them.
