A career official in the White House security office says dozens of people in President Donald Trump’s administration were granted security clearances despite “disqualifying issues” in their backgrounds, such as concerns about foreign influence, drug use and criminal conduct.
Tricia Newbold, an 18-year government employee who oversees the issuance of clearances for some senior White House aides, says she compiled a list of at least 25 officials who were initially denied security clearances last year because of their backgrounds. But she says senior Trump aides overturned those decisions, moves that she said weren’t made “in the best interest of national security.”

The fact that this career employee released this information without clearing it through the White House should be grounds for immediately firing.

If I remember correctdly, it was (quite naturally) even worse, since even Dorkbama shouldn’t have been allowed near to even Confidential information.

So we should see the entire list...not just the fact that his son in law was on her list. She's got a dead end job and is being over paid.
I heard she was already suspended without pay.
Obama could never have gotten a clearance due to his connections with a known terrorist.
Usually a security issue found in a background check is handeled by face to face counseling to get right with the rules. It is considered a warning. Of course a repeated offenses after a security warning is usually grounds for being transferred to a less sensitive job or dismissal ... that is just how it is.
