Pew: Nearly 20% of world's migrant population lives in the US
American Thinker ^ | April 1, 2019 | Rick Moran

A new study by Pew Research reveals that 18% of migrants in the world live in the US. This is an astonishing number given the grief the US gets from nations around the world - and the left in this country - for not doing enough to solve the migrant crisis.

“Builders of walls, be they made of razor wire or bricks, will end up becoming prisoners of the walls they build,” the pope told reporters aboard the papal plane on Sunday in response to a question about Trump’s threat to close the U.S.-Mexico border.

Sorry Pope but we are busy building walls around our young boys to keep them separated from your predatory priests. By the way heaven has a wall and a gate keeper.

20%? What a bunch of slackers - we need to get that up to 100%.
Let's put all of those grounded 737-Max planes to use....

Illegal immigration is a good primary focus.

But I also oppose legal immigration. We’re plenty full at this point. I would like a minimum of 25 year moratorium on all immigration. I don’t even want neurosurgeons from Australia. No thanks. We can train our own people to do what we need done.

The republicans sold America out. We will suffer the consequences, as will the rest of the world.

75% of muslims in America are first generation immigrants or their kids. The Estados Stupidos is being colonized and Western civilzation is under assault. Look at our congress, they don’t come here because they look up to America’s way, they come here to change and challenge America’s way.

Loyalty oath? What’s that?

Relax. Soon the US won’t be worth migrating to and it will stop.

So the Pope is a prisoner of the Vatican? They’ve got a wall too!

Start telling the world that Hollywood doesnt actually make films in Hollywood these days (except porn). It is cost prohibitive so they dress up georgia and louisana and Romania as whatever location they need and do the rest with CGI.

Stop coming here because of what you see on the big screen. America isn’t like that.

Yep just blame it on republicans when we’ve had since the 30s
44 years of neo-Commies in charge and more years of
Democrat Congresses

That’s what crypto-liberals do

Go on any of the anglophone expat websites and you’ll see that almost every legal immigrant from those countries hates America, loves liberalism and enjoys a healthy paycheck from their American employers. Get rid of them!

Sadly, I don’t see a way out of this morass. Both political parties share equal blame for it as well. The GOP did absolutely nothing to stem this ongoing invasion.

Yep. Our social fabric is already under great stress and we are risk of losing our national identity. It won’t take much more to destroy it.

The GOP is owned by K Street. The party represents them, not us.

OK... tell us of what the GOP did to solve the problem when it controlled the WH and both houses of Congress from 2002-2006 and from 2016-2018. I’ll wait.

I couldn’t agree more. They had ample opportunity to fix this problem and did absolutely nothing.

I didn't vote for off shoring, unbridled immigration, low ( or no import tariffs), trade "deals" with our Communist enemies and a policy of planned de industrialization.

It shows that we really have no power and self rule is an illusion. The really important "stuff" i.e. policy decisions are made by un-elected NGOs and not the people. The American worker is the enemy.

Agreed. On the one hand we claim that we somehow need the low-skill labor, especially, and on the other hand we lament how tech is about to put so much of our low-skill labor force, especially, out of business.

No recognition of what it has done to our culture (which of course the Dems and globalists want to change anyway) or the full, lifetime and intergenerational costs to our our citizenry.

What’s more, they all get affirmative-action preferences over the majority of our own people the minute they step across the border.

We need to get away from the idea that the only way our economy can survive and thrive is by a never-ending influx of population.

Also, every time bozette Ivanka gets more legislation passed for “the family”, she makes it harder for traditional families and probably chisels away the more from family formation. (As Europe has largely done ahead of us.)

The best “aid” we could give to our Latin American neighbors is the return of their illegals, who have received a graduate-level education in American business and industry, to import back home.

At the very least they were willing enablers. Despite the occasional rhetoric and blather, the GOP has never really done anything to decreae uncontrolled immigration much less stop it. This is the same party that also refuses to reduce the size of government by the way.

The 20% immigrant stat explains this:

Flood the labor market and suppress wages to maximize profits.
