Voters Agree With Trump on Russia Probe
American Spectator ^ | April 1, 2019 | David Catron

Posted on 04/01/2019 5:59:24 AM PDT by Twotone

Congressional Democrats are committing a grave political blunder by continuing to push Russia conspiracy theories and insinuating that Attorney General William Barr is perpetrating a cover-up by complying with the law in his handling of the Mueller report. In addition to the special counsel probe, which produced no evidence of collusion or obstruction of justice by the Trump campaign, there have been two congressional inquiries that also failed to find proof of malfeasance. Several polls conducted since the Mueller probe ended suggest that most Americans believe the President is innocent of wrongdoing and that the Democrats are merely playing politics.

A Harvard CAPS/Harris poll, for example, found that two-thirds of registered voters want Congress to accept the special counsel’s finding and forego any further investigations. The survey of 1,437 registered voters, which was first reported by the Hill, asked respondents the following question: “Should the Democrats in Congress accept the finding of the special counsel or contest the finding and do another investigation?” No fewer than 68 percent of the voters answered, “Accept finding.” The survey also found that 64 percent of voters are themselves willing to accept the conclusions reached by the Mueller report, and 61 percent personally agree with them.

Another poll conducted on behalf of CBS News found that a majority of Americans believe the Mueller probe was a political hit job. The survey asked 1,002 adults, “Do you think the investigation into possible dealings between Trump associates and Russia was justified, or was the investigation politically motivated?” Fully 54 percent answered, “Politically motivated.” Predictably, CBS buried this datum deep in its article on the poll. Still, the Harvard CAPs/Harris and CBS polls confirm that the public agrees with President Trump that it was all a “witch hunt.”

Yet a saw a liberal poll pretending the opposite based on bizarre wording of the choices.

When they start indicting Democrats, there will be a lot of indictments. And it will really only take 1 squealer to blow the whole thing wide open.

One person on videotape saying, "Oh, yeah, we had several meetings figuring out the best way to take Trump down. He was a threat, you know? Then Valerie Jarrett said, "Why don't we say he's working with Russia to steal the election?" and everybody agreed that was a clever idea, so we just went with it."

We need some sort "John Dean" moment, and I think we will get one.

I keep citing dan Bongino on this site and recommend his podcast. He’s in top of this issue like no one else. What was really said was “You know that Russian interference thing we tried on John McCain which the Bush DOJ would take the bait on?... let’s do that again.”

I just heard on FOX news that “subpoenas are going out within 48 hours- and its not good for democrats”

I hope that means what I think it means.

I understand the sentiment but sheeez I hate these Watergate comparisons when the reference is to issues that still seem to assume the official Watergate narrative has some truth associated with it. Have a read through "Silent Coup, The Removal of a President" and it will be clear that the only real comparison between 'Russia' and 'Watergate' is that both were an attempted coup d’état.

Issued by whom? If it’s some Senate committee then it’ll be a circus. If they’re Grand Jury subpoenas that’s a different story.

Coincidences are not correlation, and correlation is not causation.

There was and continues to be great malfeasance among certain political players, which was entirely obvious to even the most disinterested of observers. There were also many other political players who were not displaying this malfeasance, and somehow, the accusation was attached to them. This was coincidence, two things going on that were not and still are not connected to each other. There is no way one could actually be correlated to the other.

Now, the end result was, that the one set of political players was MUCH more successful than the other set, at which point the defeated political players cried “Foul!” But the success was ascribed to entirely the wrong reasons, it “had to be” because the winners had somehow cheated, and not just because the losing side had performed really poorly compared to the winning side.

But there was that complicating factor, that the losing side would not, and still does not, admit even of the existence of the failure.

Donald Trump worked really hard to get elected. while his rival, Herself, simply assumed victory was inevitable, and no particular effort had to be put into the campaign.

In some parts of the United States, that was true. Those states where Herself won, it was by sometimes overwhelming numbers, and those that Herself lost, sometimes the margin was surprisingly small. But the final numbers did not lie, and fit in well with the concept of the Electoral College, a place that can have very expensive tuition, in terms of reward versus effort expended.

Those are subpoenas issued by Nadler and maybe Schiff. “Not good for DEMs” is poliical speculation, not a reference to who is being targeted.

——Democrats are merely playing politics.-——

Lie,Lie, Lie

The democrats attempted to take over the government. In essence, the democrats declared war on America.

There can be no getting along. Democrats must be destroyed, ground into dust and then salted. Democrats are to America as Carthage was to Rome.

The vision of the founders has been rendered useless and the Democrats must be exterminated before it can be restored. An apologizer should be shot on the spot. No apologies are acceptable nor an alternative to severe punishment including death.

A living apologist can sin another day

Do you mean to tell me that 44% of the people polled can't recognize a political hit job when it hits them in the face???

The miracle is that the world's not in worse shape than it is!

Your thoughts are similar to mine. For the past 2+ years I've been saying one of two things have to happen for this scandal to blow wide open:

1) Someone will have to flip on the other conspirators. The threat of prison will help loosen tongues.

2) An honest liberal journalist will begin to look into this and see that something really rotten occurred. It doesn't matter if said journalist does it out of patriotism, or a desire to win a Pulitzer, just getting on board will begin to break through the liberal wall of silence.

Don’t delude yourself. The Dems and their Mueller Coup were aided and abetted at every stage by the Trump hating GOPe over the past two years. Had the GOP supported the firing of Rosenstein and Sessions none of this would have happened. I always thought the “Uniparty” stuff was tin foil hat territory but am now a firm believer in that concept.
