No other group is ever accused of having too much power and influence. That false claim – dating back to times and places where Jews had little or no influence – is an anti-Semitic trope that tells us more about the anti-Semites who invoke it that it does about the Jews.
History has proven that Jews need more power and influence than other groups to secure their safety. During the 1930s and early 1940s Jews had morality on their side, but they lacked the power and influence to save six million of their brothers and sisters from systematic murder.

Yes, he’s been getting better these last couple of years. Has not confronted his past mistakes head on. At least not yet. But as this article clearly evinces, Alan is already critiquing those who still have opinions like he held before. So he’s getting pretty close, just hasn’t directly looked in his own personal mirror yet is all. Maybe this year?
Does the writer want it both ways then? Jews aren't a humongous financial, legal and media power despite only being 1percent of the population, but they should have this influence if they didn't? The problem with these ethnic based or run organizations is that they're overwhelmingly leftist. Case in point,the New York Times list of employees, directors, etc., reads like an invitation list to a Bar Mitzvah. When I see these people talk about how oppressed they are but how they have to run all these far left organizations to save the world from the gentile oppressors, I roll my eyes
I roll my eyes when people talk about being oppressed by 1% of the population. Any businesses they dominate could easily be neutralized if the 99% created and patronized an alternative.

Yep. Jews (however ambiguously defined) are far better “represented” on the ostensibly non-representative SCOTUS than the far, far, far more numerous Protestant and Anabaptist populations.
If there were zero (leftist) Jews, and/or three of the above Gentile populations on SCOTUS, we would be continually bombarded with hateful propaganda about White Male Christian bigotry and favoritism - from both sides.
This nation was largely colonized and founded by Christian Protestants fleeing persecution. They lacked power and influence in Europe.
