And thanks to the free traitors, they're paying for them with our money.
Bump for later. I think this guy spent too much time in the military, and is surprisingly simplistic in his assessment of U.S.-China capabilities.
China has quietly established strings of bases all over the world - the latest, a navy base in Italy - and we haven't done anything but watch.
It’s more simple than all this.
The Chinese economy depends on us. If they go to war with us, we stop buying their stuff, their economy collapses... the end. We win.
That’s why I’m not afraid if it ever happening. The Chinese are neither stupid or insane.
China? Heck, we’ve already been beaten by congress.
Let’s suppose for a moment that there is a US-China war, and China wins. What does China gain? All I can think of is this:
1. China takes Taiwan.
2. China cements its claim to the South China Sea.
3. China gets to bully its smaller neighbors (Vietnam, etc.)
But here’s what else will happen:
1. Japan will develop nuclear weapons.
2. South Korea will develop nuclear weapons.
3. The US will seize the Treasury notes China holds.
4. The US will stop all trade with China.
5. The NATO and SEATO nations stop all trade with China.
So it seems to me that the downside for China - even if it wins - is more than the upside. So why would China get involved in a war with the US? Am I missing something?
I was sitting on the couch at home, drinking a beer, and I came to the same conclusion.
Looks like all china will get is her dependent neighbors. Its like fighting for a people who will be your future dependents and rely on you for their sustenance. Are there natural resources worth the effort?
I usually find Schlichter to be smarter than this. This guy sounds retarded here.
Does he really think the U.S. ever would have engaged in a major military campaign like that on anything other than OUR terms? If Iraq wasn't a Third World dump with a fourth-rate military, that war never would have happened.
He is spot-on correct.
And while the chinese are doing this, are we just sitting with one thumb in our mouth and the other in our ass, playing "SWITCH" ?
If everyone 'knows' this super secret chinese strategy, why would we let it happen? Did we flip a coin and lost, so they get the first move?
When anyone predicts the future with certainty, you can be sure of one thing, he is full of bullshit.
The Chinese have not tried to expand their territory in decades. So, any battle will be in space, in the water, and over cables.
But, they lob a few cruise missiles into the west Coast navy bases, kill a few thousand, and this country will roll over. This is not the same US that reacted to terrorists in 2001.
But, cut off their access to communications and drop a few rods from God into Shanghai and thing will get interesting.
If we don’t get control of our Southern border from the Uniparty and domestic enemies, none of this will matter, a couple of more years of millions of invaders pouring over the border, and the US will collapse and the Democrats will be elected by millions of illegal votes and rule over its ruins.
I think he’s dead-on accurate in his assessment. Tragically.
Our super high-tech DDs can’t even stay out of the way of tankers, much less salvos of hypersonic missiles.
Our brass is 10X more concerned about their diversity reports than their war fighting readiness.
A bad check about diversity (such as for firing an incompetent bridge watch stander of a protected race, gender or gender ID) can end a career tomorrow, where these cowardly captains might get through an entire career without fighting in a war.
So they kow-tow slavishly to PC nonsense, while their ships rust and rot.
I was a naval officer in the 1980s. Our ships at sea gleamed with fresh paint. We knew the Soviet warships by their bleeding rust.
Now it is our warships that go to sea bleeding rust. I take that as a harbinger.
Do you think we will be able to fight a war with China entirely on our terms?
I have a herd of unicorns I can sell you cheap.
The war will happen during a global depression when the US-Sino trade has already collapsed.
Think: When did Japan attack?
Then we won't fight the war at all.
How many Soviet ships did the U.S. sink while you were a naval officer?
He is right.
We need to harden our infrastructure, have multiple replacement GPS systems available, and replace the aircraft carriers with other systems, or make them into drone carriers.
It is very hard to protect sattellite assets after we sold China the ability to make long range missles and get into space during the Clinton regime.
Remember all the Chinese money going to the Clintons? There was a reason for that.
Our enemies know it is easier and cheaper to buy/blackmail a few U.S. politicians than to create their own tech from scratch.
