Do you suppose this would look like great land armies getting into formation at the edges of great fields of battle and marching towards each other? What do you think such a messy civil war in America would look like? Bubba would be wearing a Ghillie suit, shooting a bolt action rifle, or a modern sporting rifle, and after the shot you will never hear from him again – until the next one. And you’ll never catch him. Police will have to decide what side to take, and if they take the wrong one, they will be dealt with in the middle of the night when they take their dogs out to pee in the backyard.
Insurgent will be mixed with progressive statist, and there will be no SEAL teams or nuclear weapons to which you can turn because you won’t know one from another. There will be nowhere to target a nuclear weapon, and nowhere for a SEAL team to raid. All of their close quarters battle preparations will be for naught when their own families are in peril due to civil warfare. These aren’t Afghan tribesmen you’re dealing with. These are engineers, mechanics, fabricators and welders, chemists, and the world’s best machinists. If you think Afghanistan was rough, wait to see what civil war would look like in America.
If you have ever said something like, “You can’t win because the government has a land army and nuclear weapons,” here is the moral of the story for you. You are an idiot.
Some statist is having wet dreams of civil war against conservatives again, this time at Washington Monthly. She says this (I assume it’s a she).
The only way for these Civil War fantasies to work out for the right wing is for the government to join them, The gov’t may acquiesce now and then (like the sheriffs who won’t enforce the law), but when the shooting starts, one side has tanks and fighter jets, the other side has handguns and semi-automatic rifles. Even if the Texas Air National Guard and a few others go full treason, they are still woefully out numbered and out gunned. Red Dawn is make believe, guys.
For the author to accuse “rightists” of fantasizing about civil war, they sure do seem to be spending a lot of time in this article and comments fantasizing about civil war on “rightists.”

I had a discussion about this with my son and he asked me what would we do if the government tried to take our weapons. I told him that if you hear gunfire then you know to ride,run or drive to that sound. Because you and that other person are the start of a resistance and then join up with other patriots.
With modern surveillance methods (there are cameras literally everywhere now), they would be able to piece together who did what when and where they are in minutes. Those individuals most prone to resist after the initial wave would be targeted and "disappear", much like the Nazis' "nacht und nabel" (night and fog) strategy, where someone is taken by the government, and the family is kept in the dark about any details.
They would burn whole neighborhoods, and murder us as they pleased. Once the mask of civility is ripped off by the start of a "civil" war, they will have carte blanche to do to us what they've been dreaming of for a long time now. These are moral monsters we're dealing with, and we all need to consider that very carefully. They will take great delight in murdering us, because they know that just beyond that milepost is their utopia.
Notice the libtards always assume the government will 1) protect them and 2) they are “entitled” to be protected (passively). I don’t beleive anyone on our side assumes either of these things.
Well then bring it on. This cold civil war can’t,won’t last forever.

In Force Battalion school we learned that the purpose of a pistol was to fight your way to the shotgun.
Now some people will insist on the noun rifle, and they would be correct... however in Force Battalion school the attendees were all riflemen and were taught close quarters shotgun and pistol alongwith physical combat.

A deer hunter’s Remington 700 with a good scope is extremely powerful.
A good man with a 50cal loaded with armor piercing rounds can do an amazing amount of damage in a minute.

The twit from the Washington Monthly referenced in the article spouts outright lies and smears.
Just look at the headlines of other articles she has written.
I read on here somewhere this, “there are about 2 million people in our military, there are 18 million registered deer hunters.”
This doesn’t include collectors and prepers.

You prepare as if there were a EMP attack going to happen. Know survivalist training, have food, water, shelter, clothing, blankets, ability to preserve and grow food, or hunt it, and AMMO that fits many types guns. Know how to set booby traps, alarms. HUNKER Down, and pick them off. Band together with like minded people.
After reading your post I scrolled up and read hardtostarboard’s post.
I failed to see where he implied submitting.
Reality is often not romantic.
How many registered handgun users, who own more than 1 type and the ammo to go with it.
It’s not just the leftist we have to worry about but EMP attacks or a Solar EMP that takes out the Electric grid across the US, DUMBO let in so many sleeper cells they could pull of such attacks.
The left all thing food comes from a grocery store. Won’t be any. Better know how to grow food, with Heirloom seed stock, or hunt it and know how to preserve it. Know what a Faraday box is. Know and stock long term foods, that can be traded if need be. Strength in like numbers with a council and a leader.
They can't do all houses at the same time. Would not take very long for word to get out to the rest of the country - we would know that the curtain has been pulled back and would respond appropriately.
Most of us have a Plan B and a Plan C.
