March 14, 2019 (Family Research Council) — What do cats have that newborn babies don't? Democrats' support. In one of the sickest ironies no one is talking about, Senate liberals picked this moment — 17 days after they voted to kill America's perfectly healthy infants — to fight for the humane treatment of kittens. Maybe the DNC's strategists are out to lunch, or maybe the Left really is this shameless, but I can't wait to see some of these politicians standing on debate platforms next year telling the American people that when it comes to protecting living things: We chose cats over kids.
For sponsors like Senator Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), the optics are nauseating. Here he is, arguing that America "must stop killing kittens," when, three weeks ago, he stood in the U.S. Capitol and agreed with 43 Democrats that human beings should be put down. "The USDA's decision to slaughter kittens after they are used in research is an archaic practice and horrific treatment, and we need to end it," Merkley said with a passion that he and his colleagues couldn't muster for a generation of perfectly healthy newborns. His Kittens in Traumatic Testing Ends Now — or KITTEN — Act wouldn't stop the research, but it would keep the animals from being destroyed.
"The KITTEN Act will protect these innocent animals from being needlessly euthanized in government testing," Merkley told reporters, "and make sure that they can be adopted by loving families instead." Does he even hear himself? They should be treated and adopted? That's exactly what Americans have requested for living, breathing babies. Democrats said no. Killing a child is a "personal decision," they said, and Congress shouldn't get in the way.

The next step in the “logical thinking of a Democrat” (yeah, I know that’s a really obscure notion) is “we need to do medical research so let’s use unwanted babies instead of kittens, mice, monkeys, etc.”
Ever notice that the donation amount is the same for all of them....
There must be a consolidator who puts these out....

Wouldn't be surprised if they're doing that already.
In the sick world of Democrat politics, this makes perfect sense. A litter of kittens present no threat to the lifestyles of the modern progressives. However, human babies can bring disastrous results like a missed racquetball match, night out with the girls, or the effect on the wardrobe. Ridding the world of these minor annoyances is the important goal of all Democrats.
The left is a very regressive species and at this point, I wish will soon die off.
It is a good thing when all the camouflage and perfume are stripped away and evil is laid bare. While Democrats and a few RINOs reveal their true nature, President Trump’s appointments are shifting the balance of circuit courts of appeals and are actually saving lives. There will come a day when this country is forced to acknowledge the demonic reality of abortion — and when it happens there will be no mercy.
It has to be - these people can’t be that brain dead that they don’t realize what they’re doing/saying!!
When you hear that we must do this for the children, you know it is bull 💩... They hate the children...
I’m a cat person, too. I see no reason that these kittens, subjected to research, couldn’t be passed off to adoption centers rather than directly euthanized.
It just amazes that the Dems would set up such legislation after their negative vote on protecting born-alive abortion victims. Beyond comprehension...!
I can think of a few ways ads could be made to point out that "the Dems care for animals more than their devoted supporters".
