Has anyone posted which of these 12 will be up for reelection in 2020? The best way to take them out is with a pile on and strong primary opponents.

“He was elected, in part, to secure the southern border and protect American lives.”

‘For the most part’ and NOTHING has been done to protect the states from this invasion. Nothing.

It really is stunning to watch our govt(a 4 trillion dollar corrupt stasi state) try and explain to its citizens why it is failing miserably in the one job it should be doing. Nothing but BS and excuses.

70,000+ per month and rising? Damn right it’s an emergency.
The “Republicans” who voted it down need to be thrown out of the GOP and Congress.

I'm just looking, because obviously I missed it somewhere. I'm sure it's gotta be out there, likely with Rand Paul as a co-sponsor in the senate - that is Congress’ funding of border security. After all, if they're vetoing the emergency declaration because it's congress’ job to issue the checks, then surely they wrote and passed legislation which would do that..

Didn't they?

Oh, right, a tiny bit of funding for existing projects, no punishing of cities and counties which shield illegals IN JAILS, and of course, no funding for actual border security.

I heard the breathless repetition of Rand Paul's reasoning, as well as others. But didn't hear one reporter ask where is Congress’ action on the matter.

Was it right for Trump to have to resort to an emergency declaration? I don't think so. It is something that should have been handled in the day to day business of congress, and they've utterly failed to fulfil their most basic oath of office.

Least someone’s doing their job this week.. Just laying out a random guess here, but let me assume that congress has pretty much adjourned after making the token protest about the emergency declaration to go have their spring break fling.

Dear Congress....Well then....the alternative is up to you....and that means funding the wall.

The politicians who voted against Trump may very well be in the pocket of drug cartels, like some of the border state pols. Worth investigating..

I was shocked when AG Barr stood up and said Trump has every legal right to declare a border emergency.
