Once, the cannabis industry was poised to become a multibillion-dollar industry in California. Now, it could be heading for what its advocates call an extinction event.
An estimated 10,000 marijuana growers could lose their licenses in the coming months if California lawmakers fail to pass a bill designed to grant them an extension, according to Sen. Mike McGuire, D-Healdsburg, who has sponsored Senate Bill 67.

Liberals in the one party state of California has done the impossible. Taken a proven money maker and through government incompetence, has ruined an popular product. Maybe they smoked too much of their own supply? This is what one can expect if "Medicare For All" is passed. This is how we can point and say "See"This is your "brain" on "Socialism"

DOH! The only problem with a visual about your brain on socialism is it would be an empty frying pan. 🍳 Less egg!

Progressive government is basically the mafia.
They have taken over the supply, permitting, and taxation to their benefit of everything previous considered a vice
Gambling
Weed
opiates
alcohol
and soon - prostitution.

Thanks RedMonqey, this is hilarious. The left coast ****s up everything it touches.
The federal gov't should:
- legalize pot for all uses in California *only*, supposedly as a test
- require that all pot sold in California be sourced out of Mexico
- there would be a federal excise tax, rather modest, with authorization for California to impose up to a similar amount in excise (under the interstate commerce clause) and California municipalities up to a simiar amount
- included in this bill would be funding for the entire border wall

The growers will be on a list of potential outlaws, made that way by the state’s incompetence in issuing promised permits. Add in excessive taxes, and it’s no wonder that even in weed friendly CA, there is still a post legalization black market.

This pot businesses are simply being subject to the same types of laws that every other business in California has to deal with, except they’ve been given a grace period (unheard of for other businesses)...and they led the push for legalization.
It is GREAT to see them have to face what happens when you try to run a legitimate business in California, and hopefully they’re learning a bit about the left in the process.

There is a post legalization black market because of the high costs the State places on those trying to sell it legally. Still large black market in California.

The point being if “socialism” is so grand, why not let the government regulate the sale and distribution of the Millennials favorite “herb”. They will understand the government’s malfeasance better when it hits them with something they understand all too well, than
say, getting to them read F. A. Hayek “The Road to Serfdom”
Keep the message simple and repeat it often!

Exactly. Taxes and high regulation make for partial rather than full legalization.

This is what one can expect if “Medicare For All” is passed.
That would be “Medicaid for All” - Medicare will cease to exist, along with private health insurance; medical people will become government employees and, what care there is will be heavily rationed, wait times will be measured in days/weeks/months/years. It will make the pre-Trump VA look like the best care in the world. Federal and state taxes will double or even triple.
Looking back on the CA MJ incompetence will be seen as a joke, not a prelude. There will be no comparison between the levels of incompetence ... one is a recreational problem the other is an existential problem.
Your once popular product - competitive health care and insurance will not just be screwed up, but cease to exist, as will many people who otherwise would live long lives.
Euthanasia will become a nationwide choice when the pain of illness becomes overwhelming - pain killers will be kept for younger individuals - older people with either tough it out or opt out.
“Your brain on Socialism” will be a popular curse.

The product being the whole "legalized marijuana" as the universal solvent for everything;
Prison overpopulation? Legalise pot.
Budget crises? Legalise pot.
Gangs violence Legalise pot.
Medical problems? Legalise pot.
The pot itself was/is supposed to be safer as far as the "THC delivery system" is concerned

Please do not tell CA if we know of a total CA extinction event.
We’d get cheap oceanfront property, a hellofalotta (TM) fewer progressives, and no Hollywierd.

My bad. Got careless with the mix up.
Kamala Harris really torpedoed her presidential hopes with that "abolish" private health insurance. Lots of Union Democrats were shocked at her flippant remark about their insurance plans they carefully worked and sacrificed wage increases for all these years. Even made Obama "cut out" their "cadillac plans" from his Obamacare. Yep, really screwed the pooch there and it shows in her poll numbers. Both her and Sanders are in deep with the "Socialism for all"

Spare me.
The set up is exactly what the leftist pro-marijuana advocates have said for decades would be our salvation.
Legalize drugs.
Regulate and tax them.
We’ll have so much money coming in.

I heard some of the east bloc countries, Romania I think was one, had an underground economy larger than the official legal economy.
People needed it for essentials.

It was never a problem before it was legal. When it was illegal, anyone could get the product anytime from just about anywhere.☺
