He’s a PA Senator. Didn’t Trump win PA, because of his position on manufacturing?

Toomey's real issue is the tariffs that were applied to steel and aluminum imports from Canada. Canada is a huge market for exports from Pennsylvania, and some of PA's biggest exports to Canada are finished products -- railroad cars and aircraft parts, for example -- that require steel and aluminum as raw materials.

There may be plenty of reasons not to like Toomey, but this doesn't seem like one of them.

There is NOTHING surprising about a Republican writing this... understand TRUMP is not the GOP... He basically engaged in a hostile takover, don’t think for one minute the GOPe has ever been on board with Trump.

They get their money from the open borders Koch brothers, and Chamber of Commerce folks who pad their pockets by taking a cut of extracting wealth from America. Haven’t put it first in decades, and have no desire to.

I warned everyone, Trump will be fighting both sides of the establishment... he’s completely screwed up their apple cart, and they will fight him with every fiber of their being.... Don’t think for one minute that just because the GOP voter is aligned with Trump... that the GOPe is, or ever will be.... They may put on the mask to get your vote, but they are not remotely in his Camp.

Idiot statist, uniparty Republicans who apparently can’t stand to see someone who actually wants to get something done. Yea, lets have the body that can’t get anything done be the one who to have a say on national security. Seems like most Repubs in the House and Senate are in total support of the Democrat’s actions to destroy this country. I am fed up with them. They lied to us for years and when we finally give them complete control over two branches of government, they still can’t act. Why, because they don’t stand for the same things we do and have just given it lip service for 30 years.

If these worthless SOBs have their way, the only power the President will have left is to have two scoops of ice cream for dinner.

Hey, Toomey - just wanted you to know... I live in Pennsylvania and I’m PROUD I didn’t vote for you, you worthless back-stabbing asshole. I voted for NO ONE instead of you - and that would have been a better choice.

Toomey is simply GOPe... his day will eventually come...

Yeah that's what concerns me. With current trends in this state he could wind up being replaced by a Democrat, and a radical one at that.

Like for instance, our Lieutenant Governor.

The 2016 election results in PA should be the subject of political science textbooks for years. Trump and Toomey both won in PA, but there was a bigger disparity between their supporters than in any other state. Toomey got a lot of votes from suburban Republicans and independents who didn't vote for Trump, and Trump got a lot of votes from rural Democrats who didn't vote for Toomey.

It's actually remarkable that they both managed to win, with this interesting disparity at work.

Open borders includes allowing product in duty free while we kowtow the the rest of the worlds mercantilism. These sucking globalist vampires won’t be satisfied until the USA is completely de industrialized and China owns the world.

Yes he did, but he did it by doing everything the GOP here won’t do.

The GOP refused to even try for any of the senate seats here in 2018... didn’t even bother to take the field.

Big big difference is Toomey had incumbency working for him, while Trump did not...

The SINGLE biggest determiner of who will win an election is incumbency.

The purpose of FedGov is to ensure Americans lose economically.

Oh, and Toomey won his re-election the old school GOPe way....

Trump won it his own way....

Trump brought nearly 300,000 more voters to the GOP cause than ANY GOP candidate in PA before.. most of them former democrats.

Toomey played the traditional game.

The 30 year globalist experiment in "Free Trade" is an abject failure. Why? because the rest of the of world didn't play along and used the USA like a cheap whore.

Why does the rest of the world almost universally practice protectionism? And name a country with lower average tariff rates than the USA. Answer these questions or shut up you globalist hacks at the noWall Street Urnal.

It’s time to face it - the Republicans are nearly as anti-American as the Democrats are.

It is clear the GOP is all about open borders, unfair trade and now I hear on another thread that they are caving on the green agenda.

We need a second party.
