This is just a very interesting map of the world. As a retired programmer, I would love to see the source code that produced these images. Link here:

The word "Earth" visible in the lower-left corner can be clicked to show other "views" of the earth, from air and water currents to particulates in the air.
Thanks!
Maybe cool, but where the hell is the US, and for that matter I cannot tell what any continent is.
The chemical layer was interesting. It shows China is a cesspool.
Very cool. So much more informative to the eye than still charts with isobar lines and positions of weather systems.
You can see the highs and lows spinning in their respective rotations and precisely how they affect the winds at specific location, and you can see the jet stream, in this view predominantly over nothern Africa.
One peculiarity caught my eye. Air seeming to slow down in a spot north of iceland. It doesn’t have rotation. It just slows.
Click and rotate the image.
Fascinating. Thank you!
Way cool!
The Earth's was of saying Iceland sucks?
Look again. The image is centered on Europe, so the US is far to the left with Africa towards the bottom. Continents are outlined white solid white lines.
Didn’t know I could do this...even better!! Thanks!
Not as extensive or colorful, but this one is kind of neat as well (especially so when there’s a hurricane bearing down on the mainland): http://hint.fm/wind/
Someone send this image to AOC. Maybe she’ll leave the US to “fix” China. After all, how much good is it for just us to work on air pollution? That’s sorta like a “No Peeing” zone in a swimming pool.
If you view the HTML source, you will see its using 5 canvas tags and an SVG image. The browser can only render single threaded responses which is why the motion stops when you change the size. To think, it was not too long ago that browsers could only render text.
There’s more to it when you click on “earth” lower left
Interesting. The “dirtiest”spot in the US? Los Angeles.
Double click zooms in , shift double out
Thanks!
“Thats sorta like a No Peeing zone in a swimming pool.”
I like your analogy. But it’s too deep for AOC and her ilk to grasp.
