What Manafort never deserved was 23 hours a day in solitary, denied so much as a newspaper to read.
Granted, he’s not a sympathetic character, but what was done to him by the Deep State was a pure atrocity that should never have been tolerated in America.
His crimes were not of violence. He posed no danger to anyone. He was a minimal flight risk, at worst; especially after posting an outrageous, 8A stomping $10 million bail. House arrest could easily have been accomplished via ankle monitoring.
Manafort and his lawyer’s were fully cooperating with his persecuters.
And, if Manafort’s foreign cavortings were worthy of hard core prison, the Chief Pettifogger had better lock up half of K Street.

The *only* just outcome: President Trump pardons Manafort. Manafort sues the snot out of every single one of his tormentors, jointly and severally. The government’s conduct has been sufficiently outrageous and “shocks the conscience” so as to create personal liability for the main bad actors.
