My son was in a Civil War reinactment unit while in college and a few years afterwards. He had uniforms for both sides (north and south) and his unit would portray which ever side an event needed. They were not playing a part to support a side or cause, they were just interested in history and an historical period. He researched his ancestors on both sides of the family who fought for opposite sides and wrote a book about them. And he is proud of all of them.

I am so sick of these perpetually offended pearl clutchers. They have absolutely nothing to do. They have no problems to solve. They constantly look for offense.
