Kristen Powers is on CNN she has not been on FOX for a couple years..

I totally agree with you on Marie the phony over bleached blond and Jessica...both are a pain...

AS FOR THE LATE PAT CADDELL, it made me weep when Jon Scott announced that he had passed away at 68.

I always enjoy hearing his advice and comments..he was a DEMOCRAT that many of us could like..he was from the old school, so to speak...

God Bless his soul and Bless his daughter and three grandchildren..Jon also said he has one sister and one brother...
Very sad to learn..

Always thought he was a straight shooter.

Sad to hear.

He seemed like a decent guy. Saw the light and what the dems had become.

RIP.

Pat Caddell was the last of the conservative Southern Democrats.

The rest had changed parties, like John Tower and Strom Thurmond and Jesse Helms and Miles Godwin.

He was 25 yrs old at the time. Tell us your judgement was always sound when you were young...

I wasn’t voting age in 76, but I wanted Carter to win then.

Yep, I was young. I had much to learn.

Most people forget that Carter positioned himself as a conservative Democrat in the 1976 election. It wasn’t true, but Georgians were about the only ones who knew better.

Gerald Ford was a Republican moderate. Reagan had challenged Ford from the Right for the Republican nomination, but it’s hard to knock off an incumbent.

It took Carter’s weak and inept governing to convince the country to vote for Reagan, over the objections of the GOP establishment.

Wasn’t he always on Fox News..or am I thinking of someone else, the name sounds familiar, RIP very sad :(

Yes, and for some reason, FNC hasn't had him on since the 2016 election was over. He was often on Harris Faulkner's former Sunday night show with Doug Schoen and some Republican politician from NY State.

Pat Caddell was a really fascinating guy. We briefly met him at CPAC a few years ago - in 2011 or 2012. I told him how much we enjoyed his appearances on Fox News. Sorry to hear he passed away at such a relatively young age. RIP, Pat...

Pat was about the only D I could tolerate listening to on Fox. Jessica T., Chris H., Kirsten P., that awful Marie H, all of them I cannont stand. Pat seemed like a decent guy.

Definitely! I don't understand why Fox News didn't bring Pat Caddell back after the 2016 election. He was on almost nightly back in 2015-16 or so.

RIP. Everytime I saw that guy on tv I wondered “Why is he a democrat?”. Was he really still a democrat?

Wow - his last tweet was January 2016 - had he been ill that long?

No, Pat Caddell was a regular on Harris Faulkner's old 7pm ET Sunday night show on Fox News -- 'Political Insiders' -- all throughout the 2016 campaign.

It was a good show. Pat *always* made the most interesting comments.

I know, same here! He sure didn't seem like a democRAT in his later years.

My husband and I briefly met him at CPAC in 2011 or 2012. I told him how much we enjoyed his appearances on Fox News. He seemed like a nice guy.

CPAC is a conservative conference... he sure seemed more at home among conservatives rather than liberals.

He claimed to be a Democrat, but he was a pretty solid Conservative (who more than likely voted Republican). No different than so-called “Republicans” who mouth leftist talking points and oppose GOP candidates.

Always sad when we lose a principled honest man. Mr. Caddell was of such character - a rare voice of truly independent political analysis. He was a Democrat who spoke political facts, not liberal fantasies. I respected him for his integrity. Requiescat in pace, Mr. Caddell; and May God have mercy on your soul.
