EL PASO, Texas
People walking over the Paso del Norte Bridge linking this West Texas border city to Mexico can watch President Donald Trumps border wall getting bigger in real time.
Workers in fluorescent smocks can be seen digging trenches, pouring concrete and erecting rust-colored slabs of 18-foot-high metal to replace layers of barbed wire-topped fencing along the mud-colored Rio Grande, which is usually little more than a trickle.
Most of the more than 70,000 people who legally cross four city bridges daily to shop, go to school and work pay the construction in the heart of downtown no mind. But on a recent weekday, one man stopped and pointed, saying simply Trump.
In his State of the Union address, the president said a powerful barrier had cut crime rates in El Paso. Hes holding a rally here Monday to show why hes demanding more than 100 miles of new walls, costing $5.7 billion, along the 1,900-mile border, despite opposition from Democrats and some Republicans in Congress.

El Paso may wax and wane in terms of impact - but the impact will be felt somewhere in the US, and only the Assoiate Press is stupid enough to ignore it.
The city bristled? The Miami Herald got a picture of that?
Drag a hundred dollar bill through any city government parking lot and someone will grab it then bristle on command.
But, but fact checkers verified that those bottom of the barrel journalists interviewed each and every citizen of El Paso.
Or, was it two illegal aliens who got injured coming over?
Heck, it was one or the other, makes no diff.
Not sure I can agree with that statement.
Not sure I can agree with that statement.
Okay, I don't know that. I don't know that the guy wasn't in favor of the wall and said, "Trump", either.
Note who and where the article originated.
Story written by the same guy that writes the Internet ads “[YOUR CITY HERE] fuming about changes in driving laws.”
Bristling, fuming...what’s the diff?
Try as it might, the article confirms that wall/ fencing drastically reduced crime and illegal immigration in El Paso.
99% Democrats... no wonder they have their guchies in a bunch.
always worth taking a lot at the “writer’s” twitter page:

My calculator would melt at the count of stupid DBMs.
El Paso and other border towns are nothing more than a staging area for invasion groups. Then you have interior “sanctuary/ bases) for forward posts to spread the intruders further into the heartland. What we’re witnessing is nothing less than a full scale invasion/occupation of our country with a fifth column (politicians/media/corporate) enabling this crime. Anyone that supports this devious operation, which is a LOT of people should be arrested and exiled. This has long passed the view that all of this is just another point of view or exercise in social justice. We’re entering ethnic cleansing territory.
Or in other words - traitors who directly benefit from illegal immigration and their associated "trade"...
The MIAMI herald yeah okay.
El Paso had a tall chain link fence in the “90s. They got a better one later but have had a fence for decades.
New Mexico has barbed wire fencing.
Fluorescent- colored smocks? That’s what the safety vests are called now?
I see...
Geez these “journalists” are tiresome.
Stationed at Ft Bliss from 78-81. You could tell how close you were to the border by the size of the bars on the windows.
70,000 people cross the bridge every day and they found one
who stopped and pointed and said “Trump.” I notice they didn’t
ask the guy what he meant by that. That would have been risky to the narrative.
