Tom Brady - Greatest of All Time

Posted on 02/03/2019 7:06:31 PM PST by SamAdams76

Didn't watch much football this year but glad that Trump supporting Tom Brady and Bill Belichick got their 9th Super Bowl together and their 6th Super Bowl victory.

Trump tweet incoming for sure.

You know what is weird, Mel Bloudt was 6’3” listed around 220 but probably played at 245 or 250 Jack Lambert was only about 240.. a 250lb CB who still was dominate when they changed the rules to try and slow him down.

Peyton Manning. 1998-2015. Career TDs: 539. Adjusted to 2016: 595.9.

In this particular case, most of the difference is entirely attributable to Manning changing to a pass play for a short-yardage TD - and there are other arguments as well.

In my not-pro opinion, this game would have been a win or the Rams with Cooper Kupp.

He fills a space for LA similar to Welker, Edelman, Hogan, etc. do for the Patriots. These receivers are the go-to on 3rd downs and add a dangerous component defenses can’t ignore. The Rams just didn’t have any threat other than a tough run or a deep receiver, which left them much easier to cover.

“Tom Brady - Greatest of All Time”

Whoever thinks that is delusional.

Tom Brady is a wimpuss who needs someone to call his plays for him. He is a Josh McDaniels puppet.

You young punks have never seen the real G.O.A.T.: John Unitas. He called his own plays. I saw him countless times wave the kicking team off of the field on fourth down and go for it on his own volition. The coach gave him the authority to do that. I even saw Mahomes do that this year. NEVER has wimpuss done that! He listens to his puppet-master, being the system quarterback which he is!

I don’t know if we’ll ever see players like them again!

Disagree. Romo often predicted the play that would happen before the ball was snapped. He’d done his homework and his experience allowed him to read both the defenses and offenses. ...I thought he was better than many other NFL color broadcasters.

Why not do a fair comparison? There’s
no way you can say “by the numbers”
who’s been the best quarterback to
ever play the game by stats alone.
When the NFL went from 14 to 16 games
per season, over the course of a
quarterbacks career, that could mean
as many as 30 or more games. Who’s the best?....
Johnny Unitas
Bart Starr
Joe Namath
George Blenda
Fran Tarkenton
Hard to imagine what these guys could
have done with 30 more games to play.

I think there were zero “reviews” and challenges. Not that many flags for that matter. I liked the game.

“You think he was just toying with the Rams?”

No he looked like he was not accurate, it’s a hard job.

They should give the game ball to Stephon Gilmore. Without his interception with appx 7 min to go, it could have been different.”

Well genius, how is it cheating to film something 80,000 people are watching? Belichek is admired everywhere, the dude works harder than anyone, knows and studies all the rules backwards and forwards and how they interact, studies all the old plays, and thinks out of the box. He plays very cerebral focused football. And there are a lot of fat lazy people around football that just want to throw back another beer that resent Belichek’s genius and work ethic. Y’all can take a long walk off a short pier because no one gives a rat’s axe and the Patriots are the best team ever with the best coach ever. Cheaters my ass. Winners. Patriots are winners through their own genius and hard work. Eat your hearts out lazy dumb haters.

Glad to see Maroon 5 (kinda rocked) and the lame rappers didn't pull a knee.

I usually find the SB half-time shows to be embarrasingly decadent, the worst of musical culture sandwiched between the halves of a top sporting attraction. I didn't know these groups, but Maroon 5 was ok. The grafting of the rap artists on top of the more crooning Maroon 5 style was a bit weird, but they were trying to satisfy a segregated demographic.

Yeah, I bet they had a big clause in the contract about the knee. The NFL has been trying pretty hard to undo the unpatriotic vibe it established over the past couple of years. Some of the teams have flag decals on their helmets, even if they're too PC to visit the WH in the event they were to win the SB.

Some of us just despise them rather personally. And it must be cheating per the NFL. As well as questionable balls. Not saying they aren’t talented, but there is shadiness there for the game.

Brady is an arrogant ass (those eyes...perfect jackass jock BMOC who more than Sandman. DOES need to be smacked) screwing around with a bastard kid and Belichick is just a stone-cold drip in charge of a somewhat hazy operation. He was nothing for 25 years before running into Brady.

Yeah, we resent them because they don’t deserve all the accolades. That’s just the way some of us feel. Don’t hand me this “just jealous” garbage, because I didn’t despise other greats, Manning (good guy), Montana, Marino, even Bradshaw with the Steelers “dynasty”. It’s just a feeling in the gut that wasn’t helped by spy gate early on or swinging his thing around or his jackass eyesthat I know too well.

But hey, I don’t blame people for loving their team. If it’s local, it’s home. But for others outside, don’t count on it.

He’s the greatest QB of all time. Just like President Trump is the greatest president of all time.
