Posted on 02/03/2019 7:06:31 PM PST by SamAdams76

Didn't watch much football this year but glad that Trump supporting Tom Brady and Bill Belichick got their 9th Super Bowl together and their 6th Super Bowl victory.

Trump tweet incoming for sure.

That sounds really excessive. Unless I'm not understanding the math. That would mean a 200-pound person would need to drink 1,600 ounces of water a day? (200 lbs x 16 = 3,200 ounces).

I'm thinking it's 100 ounces (half of 200) - which seems more reasonable.

I read it to mean half of 200 is 100, so 100 ounces of water per day....

*sigh*

He hadn’t played all year after that big injury, a bit unpracticed, and older.

He got the score. Something strangely Morrall missed completely which he shouldn’t have.

Again, it’s a TEAM game.

Just watched a short clip recently with multiple QBs like Montana (along w/the Namath clip in here) talking about Unitas. Cannot find it again yet. That was really nice.

That’s probably why Shula decided to go with Griese in SB VII, although Morrall was their starter for most of the season after Griese got hurt.

Yeah, but he was in the same team/situation, basically.

Eli is good but not quite as good as his bro.

I really liked it when Peyton got REAL excited in the box and threw a fist watching his little bro beat up on the Patriots!

Yeah, same scenario.

Morrall is the greatest “back-up” ever. Poor guy, honestly.

Don Strock was a pretty good backup, too.

Nine Super Bowl appearances (six of those victories) is going to be very difficult for any NFL QB to match. This puts Brady in a class by himself.

Comeback victories is nice but it's even more impressive for a QB to put his team in position to win more consistently (without having to come from behind all the time).

Last year, I thought for sure Brady was going to pull it out, kudos to the Eagles for making a great defensive play. I still believe if the Eagles didn’t force that turnover, Brady would have found a way to win that game.

That must be it because drinking much more than eight (16 ounce) glasses a day would keep you running to the bathroom all the time.

Anyway, that is an impressive diet regimen that Tom Brady has. Not many would have the discipline to stick to something like that and as a result, we will see very few QBs play at that level into their mid 40s.

Imagine if Babe Ruth had such a regimen? He might have gone on to hit 2,000 career home runs.

What’s even more amazing is that since 2002, they have missed the playoffs once. And that was with an 11-5 record.

If you appreciate football that was NOT a boring game at all.

“Nine Super Bowl appearances (six of those victories) is going to be very difficult for any NFL QB to match.”

That puts Brady in an era of his own.

Those were team victories. Brady is one of 22 players. But any QB has considerable influence over any the game.

How much of Brady’s success is because of terrific fellow players and great coaching.

Unitas had to call his own plays without the benefit of in-game ongoing analysis of the other side.

How many NFL MVP awards does Brady have? 3

Peyton Manning....... 5

That’s the experts calling out the greatest, season by season.
