Tom Brady - Greatest of All Time

Posted on 02/03/2019 7:06:31 PM PST by SamAdams76

Didn't watch much football this year but glad that Trump supporting Tom Brady and Bill Belichick got their 9th Super Bowl together and their 6th Super Bowl victory.

Trump tweet incoming for sure.

That’s just the way some of us feel.

Liberal Democrats "feel."

You "feel."

By contrast:

Conservative Republicans "deliver"

Brady delivered. Brady wins.

Trump delivers. Trump wins.

See a pattern here that doesn't resemble you?

FReegards!

That McDaniels/Belichick call in the early 4th where Gronk did the bump-and-go was the game changer! A perfect play for the fastest defense in the league!

Me too. For the Pats because the left hates them.

I deliberately watched the opening ceremonies so I could see Gladys Knight and the Thunderbird flyover while singing along with her as I stood with my hand over my heart - flyover was timed perfectly.

Then I watched the game status by checking in on my phone - when I remembered - planning to only watch the 4th quarter thinking that Brady would turn up the heat then ... and he did.

Really good way to watch the SB - glad I did it that way.

Oh yeah, I know, conservatives NEVER “feel”. It’s never right to feel.

Sorry, it’s intuition. I just don’t like him.

There’s lots of people I just don’t feel good about, in person or not.

And you know what?

Not ONCE did I attack any of YOU personally. Yet indeed, you attack ME personally. You don’t know a thing about me, so you have zero to base your attack on.

I did not attack anyone here personally, not one. Yet I get name-called, personally.

I don’t know. Some things just totally rub me the wrong way.

You could ask some of the fans the same thing. Wait till they defend, or they pick on some other team. You’ll see it.

Yes, the Patriots are good, and indeed, they did pull it off again. Begrudging congrats to them. I’ll give it to Gronk and Hightower. Just don’t like Brady & Belichick.

You certainly did watch it the right way.

I would have watched Gladys Knight and the flyover but didn’t know she was going to sing the National Anthem. I saw on Fox that she did a great job and it was a rub in the face to the PC crowd. Lol Wish I’d watched that and the fly over.

Being the “Greatest” means what?

For a career?

Season?

One game?

One play?

Each one has a different circumstance.

For 47 straight games Johnny Unitas threw a touchdown pass, while averaging less than 15 passes per game.

It took 53 years for the record to be broken by Drew Brees and Tom Brady, each of whom threw nearly three times as many passes per game.

And if we are talking the greatest one game QB, give me Johnny U any day or Peyton Manning.

My apologies to Roger Staubach, the greatest one-drive-out-of-time-needing-points-gonna-win-anyway QB.

The “greatest”? At what?

If we want to talk about the greatest contribution of a QB to his team...

Peyton Manning has the record of 43 4th quarter comeback wins.

That’s 26% more than Brady or Unitas, tied for 2nd at 34.

Could I give you a kiss? :-x

Indeed, it took ages for a mature QB to surpass a young Johnny U. Oh, they’re great, but they’ll never really be Johnny U.

If Johnny U was the greatest then the Colts would have beaten the Jets, when Johnny came off the bench to relieve Earl Morrall.

As i was watching, I pointed this out to family in the second quarter, that this game was a defense clinic, and both defenses were great, but people who don’t appreciate it would be calling it boring and soccer and such...

After reading all these threads on Free Republic, I was NOT disappointed.

You know, 6 rings is great. But there is question of the quality of coaching/teammates.

That’s 6 rings with the same org.

Manning made 2 with 2 different teams. Kinda impressive. And after scary neck injury/surgery (was I scared for him; thank God he got through with no “incident”).

And Eli did something that Peyton never did, beat Florida.

Everybody wants a video game that plays like a pinball machine.

Some old-fashioned people still think of football as a man-to-man physical game instead of multimedia entertainment.

Same thing is revealed in MLB pitching duels.
