Maxine Waters (D-CA) was quietly installed as Chair of the Financial Services Committee. For gun owners and businesses, this is a worst-case scenario.
To many of those outside observers, it might seem as if the Judiciary Committee — with primary jurisdiction in the House over firearms laws and regulations — would be the key battleground for firearms-related attacks. However, for those of us who bear the battle scars earned through years of fighting to protect the Second Amendment from attacks in the Congress, it is clear this war will be fought on many fronts, and through attacks direct as well as indirect.

This article was written by Bob Barr, a former conservative legislator that lost his way big time. To try and regain relevancy he writes an article telling us Democrats hate freedom.

I’m at 5,214 on southwest hillside. We’ve got closer to a foot here. I shoveled driveway twice last night so this morning’s was quite easy. It is wet and heavy, already 34.7 on my PWS.

Most police officers would refuse to confiscate firearms of innocent Americans.
The left will have to create a whole new federal gestapo to
have citizen arms confiscated. And even then they would be stopped cold or dead.
The FBI was being turned into such a gestapo, until the ba$tards were caught out, trying to deny President Trump his office. Those FBI pricks, Comey, McCabe, Strozk, Page, as well as DOJ’s Ohr, Nellie Ohr, and Fusion GPS need to go down as part of that FBI gestapo, need to be prosecuted and jailed, so they never turn the FBI into a gestapo ever again.
This whole arms confiscation attempt by he left will also include creating a leftist gestapo. Count on it.
Also , huge taxes will be placed on ammunition and arms manufacturers.They must be denied in the Senate or vetoed on the President’s desk.
Gun grabbers are proof some retroactive abortion is warranted in some cases.

SCOTUS could shut down a lot of this crap by including in any one of their rulings a statement that says ... any law which attempts to contain, control, catalog or infringe on a constitutionally enumerated right, will be judicially reviewed according to “strict scrutiny”.
The two main criteria being a compelling NEED by the government, and the least restrictive means of achieving that need. To that I would add “proven effectiveness” in that the law must be shown that implementation actually achieves the required goal.
As an example, allow me to use a prisoner in the custody of the state. There is a compelling need to prohibit the prisoner from possessing a weapon. This is needed to implement the sentence. Without such a restriction, the state would not be able to enforce punishment.
