Progressive says he has no sympathy for the victim of the attack. He says he sympathizes with the assailant. The progressive says that a woman must first determine the motives of her attacker before she has the right to defend herself.

In fairness, this Zack Ford person did retract all of his statements, and even apologized for them.

IF more women got their carry license & defended themselves with deadly force, there would SOON be a LOT less murderous thugs on the streets of the USA to PREY UPON the innocent.

GIVE HER A MEDAL for “distinguished public service”, is my advice.

It wasn't simple theft. It was armed robbery. Point a gun at a victim and you change the rules. Slugs for thugs was the appropriate response.

“Just give them what they want”, right?

Cause and effect, common sense, these are not part of the younger generations skill set. Not entirely their fault, and that’s not to say it’s so common in older generations. However these concepts are purposefully being expunged from the schools in particular, they are taught what to think, not how to think, and to regurgitate talking points and vague, virtue signaling thought ending cliches. It is their Hallmark.

What does “Justice” mean? Why is this even mentioned? You can be sure the writer hasn’t a clue. An attacker who is armed with a handgun, there is no way to know their intentions nor time to carefully weigh options. An attacker or assailaint by definition has the element of surprise. In my estimation given the factors, Justice was meted out more than fairly.

“Don’t Start None, There Won’t Be None” would have been a better article. Better luck for the writer next time.

JUST ONCE, I'd like to see on those crime shows, where a citizen, but especially a woman, was shown taking out a bad guy with their own gun. All you see is constant displays of yellow-taped crime scenes and dead citizens. It would be nice to have the narrator tell us the bad guy was under the blanket - and how he got there.

My daughter got into an interesting discussion with a woman who offered the position that women should not take self-defense classes, because that’s not fair to other women who would not be equally able to protect themselves. She actually said that for one woman to take a self defense class victimizes other women by making them more vulnerable to violence. IOW, if you can protect yourself, you’re guilty of violence every time somebody else can’t. Yeah, these kooks are out there.
