Has President Trump suckered Democrats and the Deep State into a trap that will enable a radical downsizing of the federal bureaucracy? In only 5 more days of the already-longest government shutdown in history (25 days and counting, as of today), a heretofore obscure threshold will be reached, enabling permanent layoffs of bureaucrats furloughed 30 days or more.

FWIW, furlough info....

Perfect! When we reach 30 days, the President should permanently lay off half a million of these leeches. As someone recently said, “Lock the doors and sell the furniture.”
Is there a list of the offices that a currently closed?
We will fire 100 employees a day until the wall is built. Too good to be true so it probably won’t happen. Not that I WANT people to lose their jobs but as a way to restructure the role of government...oh yeah!
Kansas City airport TSA is all private
Yep, we have models for this and it should move forward across the nation.
“Kansas City airport TSA is all private”
As is my local airport BZN...
The cost savings in salaries, benies and pensions will pay for the Wall, and continue to pay benefits thereafter (not to mention that the Wall itself is a literal investment in cost savings). Yep, Trump is definitely a businessman.
Lay them off!!!

Yep!
PDJT is beating the left at their own game. (I call these Rules as used by PDJT “ Rules for Radials**(2) and the Art of the Feel!)
( Just as the Obama presidency introduced the use by the Dems of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals **(1) , so PDJT is using Alinsky Rules for Radicals against the left...and its driving the Left bonkers! If Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell did the same? Nothing would hold PDJT back at all.)
Here they are:

Saul Alinskys 13 Tried-and-True Rules for Creating Meaningful Social Change ( sic,Or even better: Rules for Radials and the Art of the Feel!)
.................................................................................
1. Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have. Power is derived from 2 main sources money and people. Have-Nots must build power from flesh and blood.
2. Never go outside the expertise of your people. It results in confusion, fear and retreat. Feeling secure adds to the backbone of anyone.
3. Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.
4. Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. If the rule is that every letter gets a reply, send 30,000 letters. You can kill them with this because no one can possibly obey all of their own rules.
5. Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.
6. A good tactic is one your people enjoy. Theyll keep doing it without urging and come back to do more. Theyre doing their thing, and will even suggest better ones.
7. A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Dont become old news.
8. Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new.
9. The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
10. The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.
11. If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
12. The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Never let the enemy score points because youre caught without a solution to the problem.
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions...............................................................................

Radial is a geometric term of location which may refer to:
Direction
Vector (geometric), a line
Radius, adjective form of
A directional coordinate in a polar coordinate system
A bearing from a waypoint, such as a VHF omnidirectional range.

Therefore we have Donald Trump’s Rules for Radials, taking on the Alinskyites! And he uses them in the Art of the Feel!
Read the article. That's not what this is about, and besides, it's not in the Executive's domain to do such. That would take an act of Congress.
One of my favorite places in the world. Especially in the fall.
Love having you here...
Its an interesting take.
With all of the bump and retreat protections, though, its not the bureaucrats that end up leaving. Its the junior guys that havent been around long enough to bump someone else that end up out of a job.
For instance, within my office I could bump just about anybody beneath me, or retreat to a previously held position. Since I have held many different positions in my nearly 20 years, I would have options.
My goodness.
The man is an absolute genius.
AWESOME!!!!! I can’t wait to see what happens if he does this. Ha ha ha ha I live is CA. If he does this I will be able to step outside and hear all the screeching.
Oh please!! There is no federal statute this President can rely on that some leftist judge wont simply disappear. But never fear, lil Johnnie Roberts doesnt think judges are biased.
If President Trump does lay off permanently many “nonessentials”, that is great. Also, most government “workers” shed no tears when coal miners, steel workers, power plant workers and so forth lost their jobs. Probably, they smirked and laughed at those “stupid crackers”. So don’t expect much sympathy you nonessentials.
Yes, PDJT is brilliant. And the Dems? They are dying a slow death bleeding out from a 1000 small cuts.
