Kevin McCarthy, the House Republican leader, promised “action” after the latest racist remarks by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa).

“Action will be taken,” McCarthy said Sunday of King on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “I’m having a serious conversation with Congressman Steve King on his future and role in this Republican Party."

Maybe he was thinking that if the Congressional Black Caucasians are OK then white supremacists can’t be all bad?

At some point we have to stop the Progressive control of the language.

This may not be that point.

That may be what he was attempting.

Well said.
McCarthy is just the sort of idiot that panders to the media that wants to destroy the Party.

The solution is plain for the Republicans to show absolute purity of thought: Replace King with a democrat. That will prove that Republicans are not racists.

A democrat can call Trump a m———f-—— and no Republican will blink an eye, but, damn it all, no one had better say anything that has a whiff of non-pc in the meaning.

I don’t know anything much about King other than he has a history of being outspoken. But this kind of verbalization means something bad.

Either he is undergoing a neurological event, Iike a stroke, tia, aggressive dementia, or an active addiction, probably to alcohol, which impairs his impulse control. Either way he needs to be led off the stage.

McCarthy can suck it! Democrats would circle the wagons. Republicans kick their own to the curb.
Stupid comment or not, being white and/or proud of your own isn’t a crime but it ‘s now treated as one.
If i were King, I’d tell the Republicans to screw and be an Independent

I can’t open the link here so what did he say?

From the article, “In an interview published Thursday in the New York Times, King, who has represented a district in northwest Iowa since 2003, said he wondered how white supremacy had “become offensive.”

It sounds like he was confused about what was being asked by the interviewer.

I don’t understand why the republicans voted somebody from the most democrat controlled state in charge anyways.

I’m not exactly sure, but I heard what Cruz said about it.

“What Steve King said was stupid,” Cruz said during an interview on NBC’s “Face the Nation.” “It was stupid, it was hurtful, it was wrong and he needs to stop it.”

He could have just said he was not going to be ashamed of being white, which a lot of people are feeling these days. He didn’t have to bring “white nationalism” and “white supremacy” into the discussion at all.

Because that’s how the DC game is played.

It was his turn to be “Leader”....he was heir to that throne. Just ask the lobbyists.
