Multiple sources tonight tell me Ruth Bader Ginsburg is not even in DC, but in New York and preparing to step down from the Supreme Court.
The bad guys have something on Roberts. I thought it might be something about how he adopted his children. Now that they’re older, that is less of a threat.
Maybe he was offered the same deal they offered Scalia.

Yes, nobody thought Trump was going to win in 2016 and that Hillary would be a shoo-in. RBG likely had it all planned out to retire after Hillary's inauguration giving her two SC picks right off the bat (remember that Scalia's spot had still not been filled).
Democrats had visions of a beaming Hillary making two extreme-left SC picks at the same time.
Then Trump happened.

Yep, it looked like she was coming from some medical testing and/or an appointment with an oncologist.
The democrats will now try to use the next selection, as a pawn to agreeing with the wall etc. I sure hope Trump stands firm, as Roberts is not a conservative judge.
This will put the coffin on the SCOTUS.
Does anyone here see Trump softening his stance on SCOTUS nominations? I see absolutely no reason for him to select a liberal judge at this point.

Judiciary didn't even hold hearings on him so it was both McConnell and Grassley.
It really depends on the appearance of wounds. We have no idea if she’s had diabetic foot wounds. That would be the best indicator or prognosis.
My guess, her DM is well controlled, and she’ll be on the court a long time.

What Trump should do is nominate the most credentialed female Judge he can find. Then let them come after her.

The dems will never agree to the wall, so that one's dead, and they have no way of stopping Trump from nominating whom he wants. But just for the hell of it, he could say... "give me $100 billion for the wall and offset it with cuts in social spending, and I'll give you Merrick Garland... to replace Stephen Breyer when he goes."
