House Speaker Nancy Pelosi accused President Trump Thursday of a set-up in their meeting a day earlier, when the president walked out after she told him she’ll never allow him funding for his border wall.
Mrs. Pelosi also questioned the president’s motives, saying he’s negotiating from a position of weakness.
“I don’t even know if the president wants the wall. He wants a debate on the wall,” she said.
The California Democrat has said she would allow a single dollar to go to the wall if it ended the shutdown but has said the president’s current $5.7 billion request is a no-go.
Mrs. Pelosi also said the border fight is not about national security.
“It really isn’t,” she said.

The House could pass the Pelosi bill with one dollar for the wall, and the GOP Senate could then amend that to provide Trump with $25 billion and tell Nancy to take it or leave it.

She may care after the next election. Trump is (of course) running, so the turnout for Republicans will be higher. This equates to more Republican seats in Congress, all other things being equal. However, all other things may not be equal - because if she and Chuckie screw up this Wall thing badly enough in the eyes of the public (including possibly the radical Leftists - who will be pissed if a Wall goes up, no matter why it occurs), then the Dems could lose the House again. She will, if this occurs, IMHO be asked to leave as the Minority Leader.

Let’s be honest and call the border standoff for what it is, “Blood for Votes”.
Innocent American lives, men women and children are knowingly being sacrificed by Democrats for votes.
As far as I’m concerned Pelosi, Schumer, Harris, et. al. are accessories to murder.
“Blood for Votes”, is what the Democrats are engaged in and all American’s should be outraged over it.
