The new St. Louis County prosecutor, Wesley Bell, has fired the lawyer who presented the evidence in the case of Michael Brown, the black teenager whose shooting by police sparked violent protests in Ferguson, Mo.
Bell was sworn in on Tuesday, and in one of his first acts, sent a two-page letter to assistant prosecutor Kathi Alizadeh firing her, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports,
A veteran of more than 30 years in the St. Louis County prosecutor's office, Alizadeh oversaw the 2014 Brown case.
Alizadeh, along with former county prosecutor Robert McCulloch, was responsible for building a case and providing evidence to a grand jury. The grand jury, though, declined to indict officer Darren Wilson.

She was fired for filing the bogus charges?
Or for not making them stick?
Wants nothing to do with the case. All in the past. All other people’s problem. Clean slate. IOW, don’t blame me; I had nothing to do with it, and neither does my ‘new’ staff.
This says much about St. Louis politics, none of it good.
The myth the community believes in, is that the DAs office intentionally sabotaged the case. This is them punishing folks who didn’t lynch the officer.
I would frame that as a badge of honor, then move to a RED county in a RED state and Tweet to St Louis is kiss my white ass.
I thought the Obama DOJs sent their goons to Ferguson and to Florida to investigate the locals handing of the cases, and they were unable to find evidence to reverse what had been done locally in either case.
This firing just sounds like a political hack, new DA getting rid of someone involved in not railroading Darren Wilson for something he was not guilty of.
Yes. The “community “ decided they wanted revenge. Regardless of facts. Or justice.
Hmmm. I believe I see clearly now.
The prosecutors did not sabotage this case, but anyone who thinks prosecutors dont sabotage cases in order to protect public employees and to reduce the possibility of a successful civil rights law suits against the government is naive. Its the norm rather than the exception.
good luck dude, St. Louis ain’t no picnic, you are gonna need it and without three senior prosecutors, things just got better for the bad guys
How much worse can it get in St Louis?
“Prove again that segregation is only solution.”
It’s not the only solution, it’s just the only one that works.
Maybe that's THE PLAN...
After all, the bad guys there aren't white guys named Biff wearing letter sweaters.
They're pushy black dudes with names like Michael Brown.
Agreed. We tried both segregation and integration. The metrics are easy to gather. If anyone has the balls to publish them. NO they dont. Opps. My mistake.
McCulloch was a good prosecutor who refused to prosecute a bogus case against a cop because the “gentle giant” charged him. He should still have a job but the black citizens of St. Louis decided to vote for their tribe over facts and reason.
NOBODY reads the article any more.
