Internet billionaire Reid Hoffman apologized on Wednesday for funding a group linked to a highly disturbing effort that spread disinformation during last years Alabama special election for U.S. Senate, but said he was not aware that his money was being used for this purpose.
Hoffmans statement is his first acknowledgement of his ties to a campaign that adopted tactics similar to those deployed by Russian operatives during the 2016 presidential election. In Alabama, the Hoffman-funded group allegedly used Facebook and Twitter to undermine support for Republican Roy Moore and boost Democrat Doug Jones, who narrowly won the race. Hoffman, the co-founder of LinkedIn and an early Facebook investor, also expressed support for a federal investigation into what happened, echoing Joness position from last week.
The Alabama effort was one of a series of multi-million-dollar expenditures that Hoffman made to dozens of left-leaning groups in the aftermath of the 2016 election, when he offered himself to reeling Democrats as a source of money, connections and Silicon Valley-style disruption to the staid world of party politics.

Scumbag Leftist Reid - bump for later....
There was definitely cheating big time in the Roy Moore election. When I tired on FB to forward a published article quoting firsthand testimony of voter fraud during the election, FB stopped my posting from being forwarded and sent me a message that the news article didn’t “meet their community standards.” This was within hours of the close of the polls. Someone didn’t want anyone to doubt the alleged results of that election.
See? Trace the Democratic Party back to its prime movers you’ll run into the same small handful of billionaires over and over and over and over and over and over again.
Someone should make a hit list with their names, primary retaliatory targets in case they actually succeed with their coup. There has to be some penalty paid for destroying the United States, and these are the guys more responsible than anyone else, as they’re funding and directing this Reign of Terror against Americans.
