Let’s get this part out of the way: Michael Flynn believes he lied to FBI agents during an interview, as well as to the vice president, and he pleaded guilty to criminal charges. He owns that; it’s on him.
But while Washington and the media fixate on that aspect of the story, the recently released “302” of his interview with the FBI — the official form that agents use to summarize certain interviews — is so odd that it only helps to perpetuate perceptions that the FBI was targeting the Trump campaign, and then the Trump administration, for mostly political reasons. This aspect of the story needs more attention for the FBI’s sake and, more importantly, the nation’s sake.
Having authored hundreds of 302s, and run many sensitive counterintelligence investigations and operations during my bureau career, I know an FBI oddity when one wanders by.

So thankful I am not in politics or any other public position. I have never even had a parking ticket. I would not do well under intense FBI questioning. Heck, my memory is shot, they would catch me in a “lie” with every question. I can’t remember jack. I am looking for my reading glasses right now, and I just had them. Looked for my phone all morning. I only remember bits and pieces, like when JFK was murdered, where I was, etc. Like flash backs of important events. FBI is so crooked.

This saa asks you to accept his premise - that he believes he lied. He might or might not believe that. He might have pled to keep what few assets he had left and a bargain from Mueller to to prosecute his don. I also believe Mueller offered no jail timetime. Since the author wants to set your givens, he has given up any logical debate.
When talking to the FBI in the future the lesson all should learn from Clinton and Comey is “I don’t recall”

The biggest oddity is why they were questioning him at all, since they had a transcript of the phone call and how he does his job as a adviser is really none of the FBI’s business. The fact that the FBI sent Strozk and not a special agent to have a casual conversation, then prosecuted over what amounts to a difference of opinion over how to characterize what was said, shows they were setting him up.
very interesting about the use of the 302 - i haven’t seen that point made before, even by some legal sharpies. hmmmm.....not that i need a particle more of evidence of the conspiracy/sabotage/law-breaking of the Obama-ites. to this day. i hope i live to see them all taken down, down, down.
These 302’s are worthless. They were not made immediately. Then the Feb. 2017 302 appears along with the May 302. Both were withheld for well over a year from Defendant and the Court.further, Meuller’s Team withheld these in violation of the Judge’s Order in Dec. 2018. Regarless of what they say, Meuller is withholding information from the Judge. Judge Sullivan knows the threats to Flynn and is using this to further make Flynn look bad. These games need to stop.

It is time to really make some changes at the FBI, DOJ and Intelligence agencies involved so this kind of think can never happen again. Lots of people need to be fired. A government shut down is just the start.

Scooter Libby went to jail for “I don’t recall.” FBI charged him with lying about whether or not he recalled.
OTOH, it worked for Hillary just fine many times.
One overriding oddity: conspiracy to commit sedition.
