Outgoing Democratic Sen. Claire McCaskill (Mo.) says that she is “a little confused” by the rapid rise of incoming Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.)
In an exit interview with CNN, McCaskill said she wishes Ocasio-Cortez well, but advised the rising Democratic star to walk the walk.
"I'm a little confused why she's the thing,” McCaskill told CNN. “But it's a good example of what I'm talking about, a bright shiny new object, came out of nowhere and surprised people when she beat a very experienced congressman."

Oh, I'm pretty sure Alexandria is on board with taking from everyone and passing it out to whomever she sees fit. She's a 'thing' alright.
She’s a “thing” because she fits the coastal lefty mindset, and represents a non-competitive district, and because she is a young woman who is not not a complete cow (horse, arguably, but that’s better than cow). The media swim in the safe environment, so they are making her a thing, because she is more marketable than Bernie Sanders.
What else is new, Claire? You’ve been confused since the day you scammed your way into congress.

I am too. I am confused why there are so many threads about her here. There is hardly anything unique or special about her. There are fifty other deep blue district Democrats just like her, whose voting records at the end of the 116th United States Congress will be basically identical.

That is, someone who doesn’t lie to them and speaks their mind. Of course, this dumb little twit doesn’t HAVE much of a mind to speak - much less experience in anything except mixing drinks and pretending she’s important, but that doesn’t matter to them. Just like Beto O’Rourke isn’t good at anything except looking like the mutant off-spring of John Kennedy and John Kerry (well, and hit and run).
