President Donald Trump appeared Tuesday to back off his demand for $5 billion to build a border wall, signaling for the first time that he might be open to a deal that would avoid a partial government shutdown.
The White House set the tone when press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders indicated that Trump doesnt want to shut down the government, though just last week he said hed be proud to do so. The president would consider other options and the administration was looking at ways to find the money elsewhere, Sanders said.
It was a turnaround after days of impasse. Without a resolution, more than 800,000 government workers could be furloughed or sent to work without pay beginning at midnight Friday, disrupting government operations days before Christmas.

He is saying that Trump is telling the Senate “show us something that will pass.”
George Bush: Read my lips, no new taxes
Donald Trump: Build that wall
Does he want to be remembered like George Bush?
SHTFU the wall will be built.
Maybe Trump is really a spelunker because he seems to like to cave.
“Well, one thing I am sure of. Next Christmas is either going to be much, much better or much, much worse for conservatives.”
Until conservatives begin to wear yellow vests or some comparable action it will only get worse. Unlike anytime in history, there are no regions that conservatives can flee to for economic/religious freedom.

Hee hee. I can relate to that.
I’m just telling it like it is. I have been a huge supporter of Trump since Day 1 but he caved last summer with the CR and he is caving now.
Spelunker.
Something I heard the other day:
“This morning I was listening to a morning talk show and—as is the case since his death - there’s a lot of conversation about President George H. W. Bush. Bill Bennett, who served under GHWB, was being interviewed.
One of the questions that the commentator asked as “ How would you compare George Herbert Walker Bush to Donald Trump?
I think Dr. Bennett`s response was brilliant when he replied, “...the world is an ever changing place, sometimes you need Mother Theresa and sometimes you need Dirty Harry.”.
That sure sums it up.”
Just on un-credible AP, that I found so far.
Needs 60 seats in the Senate, and that isn’t there at the moment.
***Snort***
I trust that President Trump is doing the best he can neck deep in a sea of traitors.
Needs 60 seats in the Senate, and that isnt there at the moment.

And it never will be. The democrats are perfecting vote fraud and the media doesn’t even pretend to be unbiased anymore.
Trump blinks. We are not getting the wall. It was THE campaign promise. I dont see him getting re-elected without it. The Rats stole countless race not a word about it. The inevitable was delayed by 4 years is what it amounts to.
The no wall means the end of the Republican party because everyone knows who to blame here and it ain't Trump.
Add Hollywood and pop culture-very liberal, and very effective in shaping public opinion.
