"Confidentiality protections extend to the ordinary taxpayer and the President alike," the D.C. Circuit said in a ruling Tuesday that upheld the dismissal of a suit seeking Trump's tax records.
The U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on Tuesday upheld a ruling dismissing an attempt to overcome IRS privacy rules to acquire President Donald Trumps tax returns through a public-records lawsuit. The Electronic Privacy Information Center attempted to use a Freedom of Information Act request to get the presidents tax returns, which he has withheld citing a pending Internal Revenue Service audit. Legal experts contend nothing prohibits the president from releasing his tax returns.
The panel on Tuesday said all government records are presumed public under the Freedom of Information Act unless specifically exempted. The panel added the Internal Revenue Code specifically exempts individual taxpayers tax returns. That code was passed after President Richard Nixon attempted to use the IRS to harass political opponents.

OMG ,Trump does has some rights . Now lets go after Nancy’s
There is no doubt in my mind the corrupted IRS has turned over many years of Trump’s tax returns.
The US House can subpoena them for any reason they wish.
While rare, it’s done and the law allows it.
Of course Trump can order the IRS to not comply and get multiple levels of judges involved.
I believe any POTUS should have immunity from such harassment under the doctrine of Separation of Powers. But the USSC may not agree.
I’d settle for obama’s college transcripts.
Still looking for the “requirement” for the release.
Don’t know how much WINNING I can take...
Still Not Over Winning Yet!
To provide cover for when it gets leaked to every press outlet?
All of the Left’s caterwauling and gnashing of teeth, frothing at the mouth about PDJT is due to one solitary fact.
They can’t put a dent in him.
He still has a solid public support of 50% and rising, likely very much higher because of the public’s reluctance to send their pollsters/interviewers into full Trump Syndrome seizure.
There is actually a specific section in the Internal Revenue Code that deals with handling of Presidental and Vice Presidential tax filings. The same tax laws apply, but they have restricted handling of the return due to potential for abuse, blackmail, etc.)
I was wondering when Muellers investigation was going to have FBI break into the IRS and confiscate Trumps returns.
Very cool.

Psuck it, Pelosi.
You know it! Being held to use as ‘blackmail’ when all else fails.

Thanks bitt.
Someone here needs to list all those Dems who would welcome having their tax returns opened up for browsing.
How about all of his multiple passports?
How about his REAL birth certificate from Kenya???
