Trump impeachment countdown is on
The Boston Herald ^ | December 18, 2018 | Joe Battenfeld

The impeachment countdown is on. Democrats are lurching inexorably toward trying to dump President Trump, even if they won’t admit it now.

Conventional wisdom says that the Dems, who are about to take over the U.S. House, are proceeding cautiously, and will be reluctant to launch into impeachment proceedings. Nancy Pelosi is trying her best to restrain herself.

Don’t believe it.

Democrats would like nothing better than to oust Trump. If Robert Mueller provides them with the ammo, the party won’t be able to resist. Left-leaning voters are pressuring lawmakers to act, thinking about the months long torture that impeachment will inflict on the president.

Who is the most popular Democrat in the country? You could argue it’s Beto O’Rourke, the failed Texas Senate candidate and current White House wannabe celeb....

They will do it. Tonight fake news report and the inevitable Mueller report to follow will clear the decks for impeachment.

Its just a matter of time.

Kubuki theater. “We did not come in with the intent to impeach him, but we must sadly do our duty”.

Go for it! Let the showdown begin. They tried to sink Trump with everything they got and everything failed. Let them make fools out of themselves even more.

Anything will do. It just needs to look plausible to the sheeple.

And they will find it. They will not have the votes to convict Trump but they can get the squishy GOP to pressure him to resign.

The Passion Play has been set and Trump’s ordeal is just beginning.

I see Fox’s Judge Napolitano, as highlighted by Drudge, is all queued up to lead the braying hounds of impeachment.

To paraphrase a Vietnam statement..., the DIMS proudly proclaim..."WE HAVE TO DESTROY THIS NATION'S ECONOMY TO SAVE IT". No surprise..., "The End Justifies the Means"!

Yup.

Trump is not that strong. Under sufficient pressure, the strongest man will be broken.

What you saw is just a preview of what will happen down the road.

I agree the Dems will impeach after they take over the House, but then it goes to the Senate where Republicans dominate. If the Repubs don't cave (one never knows with them), impeachment will be an exercise in futility.

I am far more concerned with the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York which is a hotbed of anti-Trump activists and might even indict him while he is still President and almost surely will after he leaves office.

” but then it goes to the Senate where Republicans dominate.”

Rinos and neverTrumpers ‘dominate’. Hillary voters all—they want Trump gone more than the dems do. If mueller gives them anything credible(a legal fig leaf), Trump will be convicted and removed.

Hahaha, I guess they’ll try again in 2021 after he begins his second term. Or will they? They’ll look awfully foolish trying and failing to impeach and convict the same president on the same (or related) flimsy charges twice.

Once the Democrats start that, release the full FISA report, unredacted and all information on the JFK assassination, also completely unredacted.

It could happen. The Oligarchy was going to fight like its life depended on it, which it did. Only someone like a Trump stood a teensy chance of freeing us from our chains. Something almost supernatural or spiritual will have to happen between now and 2020 for us to be able to continue the fight from the White House. Constitutionalists talking just isn’t enough to make any headway against these powerful global forces, the enemy of all individual people.

Maybe. But hopefully they’ll think that if the vote to impeach, their careers would be D.O.A.

Ryan and McCain destroyed wall and healthcare promises, outside of executive orders and we can all hope for 1 more SCJ, Trumps big policy promises are dead. Mueller investigation and all others are pure politics and will be here until Trump is out of office.

Yeah, TPTB will have a better gig lined up for them if they’re called to fall on their swords(pull the conviction lever). They’re not working for us anyways. It’s all one big sick kabuki show that’s not even remotely funny anymore.

If the Democrats try to start impeachment proceedings they have broken the unspoken social compact which makes a representative republican form of government possible. Either a civil war or a tyranny would follow.

If impeachment proceedings are brought up in the House, all Conservatives should surround the Capitol 24/7 with “Support Our President” demonstrations.
