Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd said George H.W. Bush called Donald Trump a curse word and threw his shoe at the television when Trump was on.
Dowd said, “I think, you know, that Donald Trump would be incomprehensible to him literally. And even that was 2011, so in our wildest imagination we couldn’t imagine that Trump would be the nominee and that he would, you know, eviscerate H.W.’s dream of Jeb in the White House with two words, ‘low energy.’ All of that was unimaginable.”

if this is a talking point written for her to repeat it probably came from a Muslim writer because the throwing a shoe at some one is a Muslim insult in origin.
Someone threw a shoe at Bush 43 was it? He ducked.
Remember when George W. Bush ducked two shoes thrown at him in a joint press conference with Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki? That's probably where the alleged shoe incident originated. Imagine 41 throwing a shoe at a TV when his own son had been disrespected so badly in Iraq. Not.

GHW Bush had some heroic moments and has a loyal family. Give it to him.
I doubt he threw shoes at Trump. Video or it didn’t happen.
One of the most significant moments in GHW’s life was being behind the plate when Albert Pujols hit maybe one of the longest home runs in history off of Brad Lidge in the NLCS. He will be remembered for it.

She’s lying. There’s no way George HW Bush cared enough about Trump in 2011 to throw a childish fit over him. He was just a New York businessman and TV personality then who said some mean things about his son, but back then the list of people saying mean things about W was long, long, long.
My personal conspiracy theory is that the entire Bush clan was sent to destroy the Republican Party from within. From taxes to immigration to futile wars, they have largely succeeded. Trump may be the last chance to save the Party from self destruction.
Because Dowd is an idiot old bag, trying to be relevant. Who publishes her dementia-fueled meanderings?
