Robert Mueller Is No Match for Fox News
NY Times ^ | Quinta Jurecic

Posted on 12/01/2018 4:19:29 PM PST by conservative98

The allure of a Mueller report lies in its imagined promise of a single, definitive truth capable of cutting through the haze of lies, confusion and “alternative facts.” But Mr. Corsi’s and Mr. Papadopoulos’s antics are a warning that this hope will inevitably fall short. Conspiracy theorists and prosecutors live in different worlds: The first, unmoored from truth; the second, devoted to proving facts beyond a reasonable doubt. Mr. Mueller has the power to charge Mr. Corsi for lying; he has already done so to Mr. Papadopoulos. Rather than crumbling, though, their falsehoods have continued to spread and grow — and they’ve taken root in the media ecosystem in which the president chooses to spend his days (Fox News).

By now it’s clear that the special counsel is not armed with a silver bullet, not because the facts are not bad for the president but precisely because they are. If facts were enough, Mr. Trump would already have been impeached.

She is a lawyer? Completely oblivious to the weaknesses in her own arguments. "Stone and Corsi may have been.... therefore Trump colluded". May have=guilt in her mind.

Cohen's plea agreement makes clear that the deal they (Cohen and others, not Trump personally) tried to arrange was a licensing of Trump name to put on a tower built by Russian engineers and a financed by a Russian bank. Trump's claim he had no business deal is 100% truthful. He did not invest and he received no money. They were trading on Trump's name, trying to license his name not asking him to develop or finance the deal.

Russian's hacked the DNC, I don't believe it. But she omits reports that there were also attempts to hack the RNC servers, but those hacks failed. There is a legitimate argument that if Russia tried to hack the DNC they would also hack the RNC. It's silly to think they would blindly support any candidate without trying to dig into the data of the other. Even if they did back Trump, which defies all logic (Putin would support the candidate who was predictable, eg. Clinton, whom he had given oodles of money and had deceived many times by exploiting her avarice and lack of attention to the national interests). One of the left's major argumentative weaknesses on this investigation, aside from the lack of any evidence and pretext, is their obliviousness to what was actually happening beyond their narrow field of vision. They are too busy playing the victim to even acknowledge that what happened is the result of their own foibles and errors, greed, internal strife et al, and not some plot involving Trump and Putin. The evidence points to collusion between Clinton and many others, not to Trump but on that I am preaching to the choir here.

I saw a speech by VP Pence recently where he made a case that China is the bigger problem for USA. So much irony in how the left now make Russia the bogieman, and embrace the FBI and CIA. Could you imagine the left hailing the CIA and FBI as heroes even a decade ago? We could get a lot more done with Russia, who have a lot more in common with and important to Europe, and it is a geopolitical mistake to push them into the arms of China. But this is what the left is doing.

Liberals specialize in conspiracy theories and in alternative facts.

They accuse their opponents of doing what they themselves do. Projection.

“They have nothing.”

We’ll see shortly when Mueller gives his ‘impeachment report’ to the new marxist controlled congress.

The damage done by mueller’s special counsel coup has already been catastrophic. Effectively nullifying Trump’s presidency. Which was the point.

And make sure to give thanks to that rat bastard, Jeff Sessions, for making all that possible. The GOP, too.

But Mr. Corsi’s and Mr. Papadopoulos’s antics are a warning that ...

Wow. Antics? Papadop was accused of lying to the FBI which resulted in a Russian superspy, Mifsud, slip from their grasp.

Wait, no. Papadop was given two weeks for pointing out something everyone knew, that Mifsud (along with Helper and maybe others) was a fat, stupid nobody used by the deep state to try to entrap the Trump campaign into "collusion".

Of course, it now appears that Mifsud had equal, if not greater, connections to Western intelligence organizations, but the FBI should have known of all these facts by the time it interviewed Mifsud in February 2017. After all, the FBI justified launching a criminal investigation into the Republican presidential candidate’s campaign in July 2016 because of the supposed troubling revelation that a Russia agent had told Papadopoulos the Russians had dirt on Hillary.
http://thefederalist.com/2018/08/20/papers-saying-papadopoulos-lied-fbi-fbi-shows-either-also-lying-incompetent/

Papadop knew that Mifsud was a stupid fat nobody. Everybody knew that. Even the Washington Post knew that: Mifsud did not respond to a request for comment Monday. In an email to The Post in August [2017], he wrote that he had "absolutely no contact with the Russian government" and said his only ties to Russia were through academic links. But Mueller has to indict his ham sandwich using whoever he can, and Mifsud is it.

Guaranteed that Mifsud is underneath the blacked out lines in the redacted documents e.g. the Schitt memo. Others incude "Halper" and "FBI Informant" embedded in the Trump campaign (could be one of those two or someone else). Everyone that is being protected as a classified source is connected with US, Aussie or British intelligence. That's what they don't want revealed. And this dimwit writing for the NYT either knows nothing about any of that, or knows and is lying and part of the obfuscation campaign.

Liberals hate Faux News because at least Trump can bring his side on it.

Something he can’t do on fake news.

Yes, but one step at a time. The NYT still thinks that myseterious Russian spies were working with Trump. They refuse to believe the fact that Mifsud and Halper worked with "western intellgence". Halper's job was to entrap Page and Papadop and Mifsud's job was to entrap Papadop. The sole connections that those dipwads had to Russia was the people that they were using as part of their entrapment. Who directed them is still a little unclear but the orders probably came through Hakluyt.

Totally detached from reality and logic:

"By now it’s clear that the special counsel is not armed with a silver bullet, not because the facts are not bad for the president but precisely because they are. If facts were enough, Mr. Trump would already have been impeached. "

"If facts were enough, Mr. Trump would already have been impeached."

For all the MSM talking about Mueller having Trump cold, no one can spell out what he has that is so damning.

This all looks like the NYT is getting ready for Mueller to come up empty handed.

The truth is out there. The truth will out. The cover-up is worse than the crime. They can lie, misdirect, project onto others all they want. But we all know the broad strokes of what occurred, and the details will fall into place in time.

For me personally, I just don’t want it to delay any further. Whether the Q people are correct and Huber and others have the indictments ready to drop... or whether it takes a Special Prosecutor appointed by Trump... I don’t really care which. I just want it to unravel soon. My hunches are that Trump was waiting for Mueller to fire his best shots first before firing back, or, he calculated that this would be best used in the lead to his 2020 re-election campaign.

If the evidence to support what we already know starts to pour out, ideally the country will come to realize what a mess we have on our hands, what a disgraceful abuse of power has occurred, and that this was all an attempt to use the legal system to spy on and then punish the political opposition if not outright take Trump down on false pretexts. Because it is clear to me, take any allegation, it is 100% projection. Collusion? Yes, by the Clintons and Obama with the FBI and CIA and foreign sources and law firms and dirty tricks outfits like FusionGPS. Hacking? Yes but really more about misdirection to hide the leaking and reckless handling of secured communications. Financial corruption? Clinton Foundation, Obamacare Grants, Solyndra, Iranian cash drops and more. Obstruction of Justice? Mueller and the DOJ, Rosenstein and the FBI etc. Abuse of power? FBI and DOJ. Spying on Americans? White House, CIA, FBI, FISA courts and private contractors tapping into NSA databases. And on and on. It was not that long ago when the left went haywire (and which I agreed with them) over the provisions of the Patriot Act. But when it has been abused to their political advantage, they cheer.

Robert Mueller Is No Match for Fox News . . .

This ditzy dirtbag conveniently omits the fact that Robert Mueller has every other network on his side. Like all good fascists, they are obsessed with crushing the lone dissenter.

This moron wants Trump and his supporters treated the same was as Hitler's Germany's Jooze.
