Yep, that’s exactly what he’s doing and it’s just what liberal pundits and media do.

It seems the Mc’s are joined at the hip on this. :^)

If I were the president I would question any information put in front of me, regardless of its point of origin. Especially if the CIA presented it. US intelligence has shown it is routinely quite wrong, 911, WMD’s in Iraq, etc... and they have shown they give lip service to the law and at times have other countries and their agencies interest at heart rather than America and its citizens. It is sad to say this but the 2016 election tampering by US intelligence and DOJ and it’s many failures show anything they present has to be questioned.

If I hire a military advisor in the White House question one is who do you work for and will all our discussions be just between us? If the answer is anything but me and yes to the later question they don’t get the job. They should answer, you Mr. President but if I think the military is right I will state that and our discussions are strictly between us sir. Which would be good enough for me until they gave me cause to think otherwise.

“Anyone who praises McCain is probably a traitor like he was.”

There does seem to be some conflicting information about exactly what John McCain did in his Navy service and as a POW. He may have been a hero in some ways during that time. However it did not give him a permanent pass to do anything he wanted under the ‘hero’ shield. He was the most miserable piece of shit to enter the halls of Congress in my life time anyway. He was corrupt, power hungry, and contrary to anything ethical as would be expected of a high ranking member of our government. He could have only improve had he died years earlier. He will rot in hell with a very small hero badge pined to his soul. no will care.

“Anyone willing to make that sacrifice for our country is deserving of our respect.”

That remark is troubling, but I know what you meant, and did not say. It would be a “sacrifice” to be in combat (under fire and trying to live), come home maimed, or dead. It is not a “sacrifice” to put in 20, retire, and get another job. McCrystal is simply a government employee with all the bennies and retirement afforded.

There’s no need for any debate as far as I am concerned. I dont give a shit what he did in the military. He is a traitor for what he did after. He lied and cheated Arizonans. He hurt this nation.

Know why he was buried in Maryland? Because Arizonans would have gladly lined up to piss on his grave had he been buried here.

"'[Funding is] not the best metric of whether you support the military,' McChrystal said. 'The size of the defense budget is not a measure of patriotism or connection with those in service.'"

Looks like the REMF lifer (AKA anti-American lefty in it for himself) doesn't like winning.

“Retired Gen. McChrystal: Trump’s attacks on military service members are ‘disturbing’” spoken like a true rough and tough war fighter. You get an extra fruit cup at dinner tonight Stanley.

First off, I am sorry if I implied that you didn’t respect the military. I did not intend that.

But having said that, we will agree to disagree about those who served and did not see combat. My father was a career officer (who, granted, did two tours in Nam) but really sacrificed more lucrative opportunities to stay in the Army. That was never more apparent than when he retired from active duty and we realized just how little the Army pays compared to the private sector.

One of the most Pro Military Presidents, if not the most, in modern times.

He called out McCain for being a traitor to not only the country, but to his constituents. Is McRaven aware of all the things McCain did to NOT help veterans. Especially, those that never came home. Whose families were begging for some closure and McCain did everything in his power to deny them.

As for McRaven, he was a potential pick for VP with her. A while back some SEALS, in the Virginia area, were disciplined because they were flying, TRUMP and MAGA flags on their military vehicles. If anyone were to do a survey on the political leanings of the members of the SEAL community, I challenge you to find more than a handful that aren’t a supporter of the President. And I doubt you’ll find ONE that is a supporter of her or Bernie. You might, just might, find a few that might be some, Left Leaning Libertarian types, but the minute you start talking about taking guns, getting rid of the 2A or infringing on the Bill of Rights, they’ll wrap you up in a Gadsden Flag before they throw you overboard 20 miles from shore.

Amazing that McChrystal won’t acknowledge that McRaven picked that fight. Of course, it was done in a place where not a lot of people would hear it or pay attention to it. And if there’s one thing that anyone should have learned by now, the President isn’t anyone’s punching bag and he fights back.

All three of them were/are/have become, political hacks. For Generals/Admirals, especially high profile ones like these two, you go from being on the pedestal everywhere you go, having someone drive you everywhere, making your coffee, aides running around to open your doors and fetch your drying cleaning, invited to all the cool parties and getting to wear your Mess Dress to the White House, to waiting in line at Publix wondering if you should get into the express line, for 10 items or less, when you’re holding 12. Or remembering which aisle you parked your car.

And I’m not saying that they don’t/didn’t deserve to attain the rank they did. I’m sure they were quite good at their jobs. But, how about being humble in your retirement. If you have some thing constructive to add, I’m sure getting an audience with the President wouldn’t be that difficult for either of them.

The need to try and stay relevant can probably be overwhelming, for some.
