Your suggestion is a good one and, frankly, the preferred course of action.

Problem is many, many people on and off line have been trying to gin up support for it, but years of effort and we’re no closer to a convention than we were 10 years ago.

Article V will never happen because you couldn’t get 2/3rds of these assholes to agree on anything and even if they did agree to a constitutional convention neither side would ever agree to any amendment proposed.

We’re way past civility. Today’s democrats are the communist we fought against in the 50’s and 60’s and today’s republicans are the 60’s democrats.

It’s a lost cause and all hell will needs to break loose, blood in the streets etc and when all that ends badly maybe folks pick up the pieces and start over.

The Constitution is perfect as written.. society is the problem and it needs a massive cleansing.
