Full Title: Claire McCaskill's husband invested in pro-veteran properties that tried to evict homeless vets over $233 owed rent
Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has championed herself as a supporter of veterans in the run-up to the Midterms, but her husband's past is coming back to haunt her again.

That’s gotta help! /s
Gonna be soooo nice, seeing her go down.
This is probably fake news and I hope McCaskill loses big time. Her husband owns a tax credit syndication business which is basically a middleman between an affordable housing operator and a tax credit investor. Her husband would have next to nothing to do with tenant selection, collection of rent or evictions.
I didn’t bother to read the article so he could own property that he in fact operates. I doubt it.
I think shes done this time. She was in a tight race, then voted against Kavanaugh. Then the Project Veritas videos came out. Now this.
Homeless vets. The solution is fewer of them. More deployments of existing enlistees. All are volunteers so it’s not really a ‘service’ they’re providing. Getting wounded is an exception. The solution to that is fewer commitments overseas. I’m a vet. Got on with my life ok. When they resort to self destructive behavior it doesn’t mean we owe them for services rendered. They’ve already been paid.
From the article:
“Joseph Shepard has a less than 1% interest in those projects and zero control of management.”
It seems like an unfair hit to me.
But if it works, I’m all for it.
Nice October hit job!
Dems - do as I say, not as I do.
For those who care, McCaskill’s ads are of three flavors. Ads that depict all of the charges against her and her husband as lies, backed up with quotes from the StL Post-Dispatch and the Washington Post. Ads that claim that Hawley is the “Golden Boy” who will take your health insurance away, and ads that depict Claire as “having been born in Rolla Mo because her hometown was too small to have a hospital, moved a lot because her family was poor, single mother raising a family while doing noble public service.
You are right. I’m more concerned that the Salvation Army was part of the eviction team.
That’s odd. My GI Bill didn’t say anything about getting to live rent free.

McCaskill wants her staff investigated......for telling the truth. Why is McCaskill trying to hide her PP connections?
McCaskill campaign staffers are caught on video explaining that P/Parenthood secretly funnels
pro-abort donations to her to avoid the scrutiny of Missouris conservative electorate.
PP goes through other means to get us that money. Not that PP doesnt support Claire,
its because they know its a tough state to win for a pro-abort Democrat.
McCaskill is playing the same fool-the-stupid-voters game as Louisiana loser Landrieu.
Democrat Landrieu got caught saying she had to talk down to the home folks.
They were too stupid to understand why she said one thing to them then voted the opposite.
Saaaaaah-looot!
Gee! Who do the McCaskills think they are, the Feinsteins or Pelosis? Democrat politicians have a “thing” for buying up property in advance of secret redevelopment plans.
This should be a “call” for a Missouri state investigation into corrupt practices, and if any federal money was involved, the VA could join in the investigation.
Scratch a Democrat senator and their spouse will often turn up “dirty” (Sanders, Clintons, Pelosi, Feinstein, Rep. Jan Schakowsky the commie, her husband, Barack Obama on his Chicago home mortgage/real hidden ownership, Fauxchohantas and the Indian Casino/Reservation money issue, maybe Tim Kaine and the burning of Richmond re real estate development, Kamala Harris sleeping her way up the political food chain, Corey Booker (if its Newark, it’s corrupt), Robert Menendez, etc.
Isn’t that special.
Unfair? I remember hearing about fairness. It was many years ago, before public discourse went into the gutter along with the argument about who put it there.
You need to read the fine print to get the whole story (There's a fine print court document at the link). While the $233 seems paltry, the vet's rent was only $34 per month. Which means, he was 7 months in arrears.............
I credit the Salvation Army for all they do but they don't hand out charity without demanding some responsibility from the people they are helping. And in this case, expecting the vet to pay his rent.
