Hundreds of U.S. troops are set to make their way to the southern border to help Homeland Security and the National Guard as a caravan with thousands of migrants moves north, a U.S. official confirmed to Fox News on Thursday. The official said roughly 800 soldiers will be sent to the area to offer

{sigh]. So the plan is to put them into tent cities on our side of the border and let the legal system work their way with them. Damn!
800.
Only 800?
60% at least are just logistics, support and command.
It’s a start ....
What are they going to do, pass out teddy bears and soccer balls?
800 is ok if it is the first installment on the planned 800,000.
They are bringing tents? How about shoot to kill orders?
The official said roughly 800 soldiers will be sent to the area to offer logistical support,” including providing tents and vehicles.
Just like last time. The plan is for the military to provide support so the BP can process them in quickly.
I’m dam sick of it!
I am certainly hoping for something more than promises. Separate out the women and kids, then have at it.
..and Condoms.
Depends what the meaning of “they will be stopped” is?
I wish a few dozen were sent south of the border to engage in some shenanigans.
It’s be a real shame if the trucks all got flat tires one night, then the next day the water tanks all got damaged and so on.
Sonic booms overhead might scare them into going back home.
Put the tents in Beverly Hills and Malibu.
Ping re that guess on last night’s live thread.
Might not be a division, but it’s maybe a start.
We spend a lot of money on psyops research. There’s plenty they could do to scare away all but the most determined (well-funded).
If these troops carry no weapons and simply process PAPERWORK..?
I cannot imagine anything more insulting.
Exactly.
None of them should be “processed.”
The asylum laws state that the “migrants” have to apply for asylum in the first country in which they arrive....in other words, Guatemala or Mexico.
Also, 800 troops is no where enough.
Lots of boots on the ground. Fine.
But what are the rules of engagement? Are they allowed to physically push back against the invaders?
