Democrat leaders in congress, hollywood and the media have whipped up their base to go after republicans in public. The attack on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is the latest but certainly not the last of these.
I hope the republicans on the receiving end of these attacks realize just how serious these situations are. While some of these attackers are obviously paid professional agitators, some may not be. Some may be bent on violence. Hell they would probably be heroes in their circle of associates.
If a restaurant worker or diner sees a republican congressman all he has to do is get on social media and within a short amount of time a mob can appear. Even security can be distracted and swarmed by a mob.
The downside of these actions is the potential to change votes. Assuming Trump gets another supreme court pick how are republicans going to vote knowing that they or their families can be mobbed whenever and wherever they may go?
Carry concealed.
If threatened, USE IT.

The only upside I can see are that we know without a doubt those that we need to get rid of as soon as possible.

People should not harrass politicians. Vote for their opponents when you get a chance, but this stuff does not belong in a civil society. Stop it.
And the moment that someone responds to such a situation with any kind of force, with anything less than meek acceptance, it will be turned around and blamed on President Trump and Alt-Right Nazis. or whatever words they use that day. The crap in NY with the Proud Boys, the ‘Antifa’ people started by throwing a bottle at the other group. It devolved into the fight. And you can see the result.
Congress should immediately mandate 50-state reciprocity in the District of Columbia, over which they have absolute and unlimited authority.
The issue of mandating reciprocity among the several states is very complicated (Constitutionally), but there is NO QUESTION that Congress could do this for DC immediately - and they should.
Ran into a couple of idiots a month ago. Left all my stuff in the vehicle (oops I never do that - but did once). It was basically started by a deranged woman. I thought she was just stupid.
Got about 30-40 miles down the road and figured out she was just a petty thief and a liar. Completely out of nowhere.
I fear blood will be spilled before the perpetrators of the hate speech start reigning it in.
Currently, they feign ignorance or innocence when violence breaks out. Some of them hide behind their political offices and think they are indemnified from any blame.
It would seem so easy to set up an ambush of sorts for one of these situations. Nothing violent, just a group to show up and shout as loud and erratically as they do, turn it into a cluster F. Make a comedy out of it.

What *is* right in every city and state? Do we all have to be mobbed, beaten, shot at, knifed, spit at, threatened? And hold up a white lily and beg for mercy? Or will cops and shysters in our lousy, despicable system of justice blame US? Half the cops now seem to be liberals (which means I despise them!) or hopefully less than half?? Let’s find out.

I expect “October Surprise” by Democrats by late October to early November. What form it will take, I don’t know.

In the big democrat cities they do whatever their filthy hack chiefs tell them.
Since there have been threats to Congress, Judges, etc. They should be protected. We have an Executive Order #13774, “Preventing Violence Against Federal, State, Tribal, and Local Law Enforcement Officers.” What about law makers who have been threatened. Shouldn’t they be protected?
I live outside of Charlottesville in the mountains, you are correct..We are being attacked, no joke, and have lost control of the country as nothing is being done, assault at the least, this means the law is not there any more, just to toe tag you, I love the law enforcement departments don’t get me wrong,but in this environment of anarchy, it can no longer deal with it..We have unaccountable agents, heads of departments that deceive with impunity and nothing is done as if the law has become so complex it means nothing except if you have the money or connections it does not apply to you..To me Trump should declare martial law,Troops on the border, surround san diego with troops and remove the illegals...won’t go on
