Georgia Dem: 'You Shouldn't Have to Work More Than One Job Full-Time to Make a Living' [Abrams]

Stacey Abrams, the Democrat hoping to make history as the first black governor of Georgia, was asked by CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday if she believes the “Trump economy” has been good for Georgia.

Abrams credited President Barack Obama, not Trump:

I would say that the Obama economy and that Nathan Deal, as governor, have both done a very good job of shepherding our society. But the problem we have is that, while our unemployment rate has fallen, we still are a low-wage state, where you have a lot of folks who are working two or three of those jobs. And I’m running for governor because you shouldn’t have to work more than one job full-time to make a living. You shouldn’t have to fight to get access to health care. We shouldn’t have rural hospitals shutting down because of our refusal to expand Medicaid. I’m running for governor because I want to be the governor for everyone, not just those who are succeeding in our current economy, but for everyone who needs good education, good jobs, and access to health care.
Host Jake Tapper noted that Georgia has not elected a Democrat governor in two decades, and he also told Abrams that she seems to be “more progressive than the average Georgian.” He asked Abrams why she’s a good fit for governor:

“Because what I’m talking about is progress for all of us,” Abrams said. “Making certain that your family income and your zip code doesn’t determine your education shouldn’t just be a progressive value. It’s a smart value.” …

People shouldn’t have t die after only 70-90 years.

Oh well...

Whenever someone says a thing “shouldn’t” happen, they are making a moral statement. I wonder where this person gets their morals.

And good mothers who know their children need them shouldn’t have to work to pay the family bills!

Obama said that his sh!tty economy was the new normal and that those jobs weren’t coming back.

Bunch of lying liars in Georgia crediting Obama with Trump’s economy.

Health care for all! Education for all! If so, why work one full time job?

Well I should be able to live on a part time job!
Wait - I should be able to live without working at all! What kind of evil society forces me into slave labor just to survive? I need to see the world and feel good thoughts and work is stressful.

She’d probably paraphrase Groucho, if it came down to it, and say, “Yes, those are my morals; and if you don’t like them, I have others!”

Is this the same stupid twit that couldn't manage her credit cards or other debts?

Did she even have a job?

She has no clue as to how to manage debt...yet she wants the Georgia taxpayers to give her access to their pocketbooks.

Mmm-huh.

Yep.

Sure.

She's also endorsed by Linda Sarsour and has tacitly accepted Female Genital Mutilation in appearances with her.

She has stated that one should not necessarily have to be "legal" to vote for her.

A lot of other baggage, all out there, but suppressed by the majority of the main-stream press.

Real outstanding candidate there...but about par for the course where the stupid Georgia Dimocrats are concerned.

Liberals are world class liars because they truly believe the garbage they are spouting. They live in their own reality.

She also wants to confiscate all semiautomatic rifles from everyone (except the police of course) and introduced a bill in the GA General Assemble to do just that. The woman had some sort of business several years ago where she withheld the taxes on her employees and then spent the money on herself rather that sending it to the government. A model of fiscal responsibility (by Democrat standards). Although this would get lots of press from the local ultraliberal fishwrapper if a Republican had done it, the Atlanta media is remarkably uninterested in this aspect of the a$$hole's activities - criminal behavior and dishonesty is a resume enhancer for a Democrat.

Should this relative of Jabba the Hut get elected Georgians prepare to kiss your rights and your money goodbye.

Amen, sister! Stop taxing the hell out of us and we won’t have to work more than one full time job.

...I’m running for governor because you shouldn’t have to work more than one job full-time to make a living.

Wrong, so very, very wrong. Does she believe every job out there should pay enough and provide enough benefits to make a career out of it? Seriously, every job?

As soon as you accept that reality check - that there are some jobs that simply are not going to support a person let alone a family - then you have to realize another truth. It isn't black and white. Not all jobs are flipping burgers or playing CEO on Wall St. There's a whole spectrum in between. So the reality is yes, depending on your situation: where you are, what you're doing, etc. you may have to work 2 or 3 jobs for a while.

Heck, if I could support my family and lifestyle by pumping gas 30 to 50 hrs a week I would. That was a low stress job where the entertainment (the general public) literally came to you. Unfortunately that job really only kept me in beer and gas money. When I could I also worked in a warehouse and at landscaping and a little local truck driving. Got through college in 4 years for my first degree and got a much better job. That's how it's done. Starter jobs are not careers.

It did not come across to me that Obama really believed his “If you like your doctor” schtick. The lust for power is what motivates them to use transparent lies without flinching.

As usual, CNN provided their special babe with all the questions beforehand, and/or her handlers gave the questions to CNN.

All propaganda, all the time.

If she believed that, she wouldn’t be in politics, which is the ultimate parasitical “job”.

When you off shoring the industrial base, means of production, all that is left are service jobs. So I can see how the great unwashed feel this way. 3 decades of "gloBULLism", unbridled legal immigration and mercantilism against the US worker coming home to roost.
