JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) - Alaska Republican party leaders plan to consider whether to reprimand U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski for opposing Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.
The party has asked Murkowski to provide any information she might want its state central committee to consider.
Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock says the committee could decide to issue a statement. Or he says it could withdraw support of Murkowski, encourage party officials to look for a replacement and ask that she not seek re-election as a Republican.

I don’t think that’s a good move.
It’s likely to just look bad.
Replacement has a much better sound to it.
What difference would it make.
She didn’t run as a Republican last time and doesn’t have to the next time if she doesn’t want to.
Repeal and replace her.
“Or he says it could withdraw support of Murkowski, encourage party officials to look for a replacement and ask that she not seek re-election as a Republican.”
BOOM!
Why don’t we just pay her more than the DNC is paying her?
She SHOULD be stripped of ANY committee assignments.
Take that, weeotch.
It’ll make her HAVE to run as a Dem....not as a pretend Repub, who just gets “elected” w/Dem votes.
A strongly worded letter?
I have to quote someone I don’t like just to make a point;
“What difference at this point, does it make?”
Technically, this title is incorrect. She voted “present” not “no.” (I am not defending her, just pointing out a fact.)
How ‘bout a ‘tersely’ worded letter, if strong is too...strong.
Still wasn’t what she was elected for.
Considering.....
Hmmmmm?
Not the comfy chair!
That photo of Murk cowering in fear before ChiDiFi will put an end to her career.
Murkowski didn’t win the GOP nomination in Alaska last time around, anyway. She lost in the Republican primary to a challenger and ran and won as a write-in candidate.
The Alaska GOP does not need liberals like her. She is a RINO.
I don't either. She defeated the Republican as a write-in candidate in 2010. She could just become a Democrat. Or a permanent independent.
It doesn't matter at this point, and the Republicans are likely to expand their majority in 2018, so it won't matter in the future.
I believe she was going to vote NO, but voted present so that Daines vote could be recognized as Yes. It was gracious of her. But, it was a NO vote.
Palin in 2020.
