I doubt the Dems gain a single vote from the Kavanaugh Confirmation. Those who didn’t like the pick were already voting Dem.

A far more likely outcome is that more women have learnt how mean, nasty and dangerous the Dems, are leading to an increase in GOP votes.

Democrats will make significant gains among female voters who are deeply troubled . . .

You'd have to be "deeply troubled" to vote for these clowns.

“ very credible”

Anyone who considers the Kav accusers to be “ very credible” is either pandering to militant feminists or too naive to be taken seriously

Doug Schoen, Larry Sabato, Charie Cook and tons of other pollsters & pundits are going to have the same egg on their faces as they did in November of 2016 when Trump was elected. They do not have a clue. No one with a functioning brain will talk with pollsters or all...and, if they do talk to them, they lie and tell them want they want to hear!!!

By the way the first day of early voting (absentee & mail in ballots) has been reported in Florida...Republicans lead Democrats 2 to 1, 6000 to 3000 sent in votes. Too early for any judgement...but, stay tuned!!!

Schoen is one of about 3or4 dems in existence who have integrity.

I think the repubs will do very well in the senate but the house is another matter. This is a rebuilding year and leftist courts have redistricted in favor of the dems. In the next district over, Dave Bratt is in a tie with some blond babe who touts her former CIA job, has tons of outside money, and omits “democrat” from her campaign ads. No doubt many GOP candidates for the house are running against similar opponents.

I don’t see any waves in the house but a tough fight where we will need every vote we can get. Currently I think the repubs could lose up to 10 seats but still keep the house.

I disagree with Schoen with the Kavanaugh hearing. I think the rat scorched earth tactics overwhelmed any lasting impressions by Dr Fraud and scared a lot of people to our side. I do agree with him that we will see more solid polling in the 10 or so days.

What is left unsaid in this article is that, up until the Kavanaugh hearings, the Dems had a double digit advantage in voter enthusiasm which has now dissipated. They can spin it any way they want but we came out ahead from this fiasco. Not only did we get our Judge but this fired up our base in a way that nothing else did.

Remember, too, that Democrats, as always, have voter fraud on their side.

There are zero female voters in America offended by the way republicans handled this outside of those who were already voting democrat with high enthusiasm. Zero.

Looks like Schoen’s finally letting his feelings get the better of him. Usually, he gives a measured and realistic analysis — at least as compared to most
demonrats.
For him to suggest that Ballsey Ford was believable and credible shows how deep the TDS actually runs in him.

".... Democrats will make significant gains among female voters who are deeply troubled with the way that Senate Republicans handled the very serious and very credible allegation of sexual assault made against Justice Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford in her testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee....."

Shoan must be smoking too much Maui-wowie to think that Ford's testimony contained "serious and very credible allegations of sexual assault".

The exact opposite impression was what most Senators heard from this lying, scripted astro-turf slut foisted on the hearings at the last minute by the partisan democRATS.

Doug Shoan is a democRAT but he is usually pretty sane in his analysis. He missed the mark on this one.

the Republican momentum we see today is unlikely to be sustained for the entirety of the next month.

And yet the author expects us to believe that the Democrats can sustain their rage for 2 years?

What is shifting the tide is the viciousness and hate being displayed by the media and the progressives. Americans are sick and tired of it. I hope the progs lose seats!

You’re experience is not the norm.

Even prosecutors would rather have more males on a jury vs females when trying to convict someone of sexual assault. Women are harder on other women and more skeptical of other women.

Noway I imagine females siding with some random woman over their husband or son.

Yes. And what every became of the investigation into voter fraud?

That story has gone cold.

I was hoping for a revelation before the midterms but that seems unlikely.

Oh really? Calling Ford’s allegations troubling and credible lends to this so-called integrity?

ndeed, Democrats will make significant gains among female voters who are deeply troubled with the way that Senate

That is either a knowing lie or blatant wishful thinking. Democrats had a 14% edge with Suburban women in the generic polling going into the Kavanaugh fight. That is a group that normally votes GOP. Now it is 1%. So the facts demonstrate the authors claims about women "punishing" the GOP nonsense.

Indeed, Democrats will make significant gains among female voters who are deeply troubled with the way that Senate Republicans handled the very serious and very credible allegation of sexual assault made against Justice Kavanaugh by Christine Blasey Ford

LOL! RIIIIGHHHHT. Very serious and very credible charges that cannot be corroborated AT ALL by every witness she NAMED, and even the FBI could not put one HINT out there that Kav had a DAMNED thing to do with her!

Evidence does not matter, only FEELINGS that she was truthful. OMG, this is such swill.
