NBC News NBC News @NBCNews BREAKING: Following dramatic cmte. move that led to FBI review, Sen. Flake says he plans to vote in favor of Judge Kavanaugh's confirmation to the US Supreme Court.
Take the stairs!
If Flake votes “yes’ and Murk and Collins vote “no”, where does that leave us?
I’m still not certain about Manchin. I think he knows he’s finished if he votes “no”.
Will he do it again tomorrow?
Yep.
So now it up to Collins since that bitch from AK is a no
Yeah, Flake, I’ve heard that before. I’ll believe it when I see it.
it all down to Collins. She a yes Pence breaks the time and Mad Cow from AK needs to be politically destroyed
I sure hope McConnell and Grassley are beating the snot out of Murc the Cow right now...
Collins was ok with the FBI report.
I think this was all arranged with McConnell.
Murkowski got to be the “no”.
And Collins got to be the one to make the big announcement that basically sealed Kav’s win.
Keep him away from Coons!
Also Manchin. If he decides yes, then Collins not necessary but I think she’s a yes.
Its done. Collins will vote yes, Murkowski will vote no, Manchin is yes and VP Pence will break the tie with a yes. 51-50.
Kavanaugh is the new Associate Justice.
Hope Collins has half a brain and some principals.
Then we need Manchin.
One thing Collins said in the past, and this is key, is that she didn’t believe Kavanaugh would overturn Roe v. Wade.
She was also satisfied with the FBI report.
Cautiously optimistic that she will be a yes.
The only excuse I will accept from Murkowski is that Kavanaugh gets confirmed and she says later that she wanted his confirmation (and opposition) to be “bi-partisan.”
If this holds then it’s up to Collins because I think Manchin flips.
If Collins, Manchin and Flake vote yes, doesn’t that get us to 51 without Pence?
If Collins and Flake vote yes and Manchin votes yes, then it’s 51-49 and Pence isn’t needed.
